Not signing Cooper before the trade was STUPID, but...
We jump all over Jerry for "letting this happen" but doesn't Dak bear some responsibility here too? I don't believe in the idea that it's the player's job to get as much money as he can and owner's job to keep him from it, especially when it comes to a guy being the highest paid player in the league and demanding a four-year contract instead of five so he can be the highest paid player in the league again one year sooner. I don't know why anyone thinks Dak and his ...team...aren't just as much to blame for his contract not getting done earlier and more reasonably. I've believed all along that Dak wanted things to proceed and end up exactly as they have. He knew what he was doing when he hired France. I like Dak. I think his numbers speak for themselves. But the truth is that he's not Mahomes, Cobb is gone and it remains to be seen what kind of defense the Cowboys can put on the field the next few yrs with the resources they'll have. It's almost like either doesn't understand how that works or doesn't care, long as he can make his millions.
