How good is Klavon Chaisson

What I have read up about Henderson is his elite make up speed and extremely smooth in his transitions. Yes, tackling was a business decision, but I'm starting to hear the same thing like Delpit, he was nursing an undisclosed injury. I don't trust either as tacklers, but both have elite coverage traits that we sorely lack in the back end. Perhaps they can be coached up. Mike Jenkins was another one who shied away from Tackling, but is no where near the talent of Henderson in coverage.

nope.i watched a few games of him on YouTube, imo he is EXTREMELY allergic to tackling, cowboys fans will be calling for his benching after a few games.

On a roster, that has a lot of talent...one should first strengthen the nickel defense. That means pass rush, and secondary.

The Cowboys could presently target Henderson or one of the two top safeties for this draft. That would be smart and build for the future.

If Chaisson is there, he would be a great 'future' pick, but take at least 6 games before showing some valid progress. A very fluid and fast linebacker would be a smart pick as well.

With that in mind, a trade down, to secure a depth picture that includes WR, C/G, S, and CB...would be smart. 4 picks in the first 3 rounds could be fed by lower/future picks...and smart trades. Some up.

Worth noting, the defensive line is presently pretty full. To pick up a DL in this draft, especially high, would almost necessitate dropping one of the current veterans.

What about Bennett as well?

Does anyone know much about him? Is he a dominant player that we should take over if CB CJ Henderson is their or one of the top WR.
Good but not great. He’ll likely be a pro bowler once or twice. Certainly not as good as Lawrence

If we could get Chaisson in the first and Delpit in the second, I would be ecstatic.

Agree. We still need a CB, but you could get someone who could contribute even in the 3rd.

K'Lavon Chaisson 6-3 254
DeMarcus Ware 6-4 251
DeMarcus Lawrence 6-3 251
Yeah, Chaisson is big enough... particularly if Nolan/Tomsula use him out of both a two and three point stance, like I think they might. Not to mention that he plays bigger than his listed weight. The guy is solid against the run and sets the edge just fine.

The more game film i watch of Chaisson (not highlights), the more I’m convinced he is a major project. While he has tantalizing physical traits as a pass rusher, he has poor technique and a concerning lack of production. Not saying I would not draft him if other top targets (Kinkaw, Henderson, Ruggs) are gone, but I would not be real comfortable with the pick. I’d prefer a trade down for Fulton who I believe will be a solid starter from day 1, even if he may never be an all pro.

Although I am not a fan of taking more of a developmental prospect in rd 1, our Defensive Ends spots would be filled for the future. It has been a merry go round for the position for too long. Draft, develop and enjoy though low salary, high production years.

I'd rather take Darrell Taylor at 51 or 82 than chaisson in round 1

Does anyone know how to make gifs (from YouTube clips) and post them on the board? I know how to make them but I don’t can’t seem to make them work on the message board.

I’d love to show some of the little things Chaisson does like a seasoned vet instead of a 21 year old college player.

I think of Ware a lot when I see him. The raw athletic ability, character, toughness. Ware was a better pass rusher in college, but far from a sure thing. I think Chaisson has the same ability and character.

Chaisson is probably the last guy I expect to be available at 17..amongst the common names we are discussing

Did you try uploading them to an image hosting site and linking them as an image

Is that how that works?

I figure you just use the link generated by the gif making website.
Its a possible alternative if linking it directly from the site doesnt work. The forum may not support images from that site. Not sure if its the same as images, by the forum only supports video from certain sites.

I know the Nick Jonas forum I post at doesnt support image links from my ******* account for some reason
