Maybe he has second thoughts about McCarthy after having another coach and another perspective last year. Could tell did not enjoy the new head coach in Green Bay.

A Rod’s disdain for McCarthy is one of the reasons he was fired. Ain’t happenin
And what I find interesting, with a new HC they darn near REFUSED to give ARod any more targets.

Running back - check
Offensive Line - check
Wide Receivers - ahhhhh helllllll no

I wonder if ARod still disdains MM for giving him all his really good WRs ARod used to have in GB?

Say Aaron Rodger has a temper tantrum and wants out of Green Bay because they just signed their future qb

He is signed for the next 4 years at between $22-25 million per year. A significant discount to dak and even at his grandpa age probably still 3x the qb. He doesn’t have that much wear on his tires.

Not sure what his current relationship is with McCarthy.

LOL ..you should .... you have to had known the Rodgers/McCarthy fall out had to be the leading cause (if not the sole reason) why McCarthy was fired ...- and at mid season of all things !

For a HC that won them the ever elusive bowl ( and in Dallas at that) and considered a great offensive mind gets canned fired at mid season - and you really think Cowboys could be interested in letting Dak walk and fixing it to where they can re-join Rodgers with mcCarthy.

but i guess whenever there's a whisper of a rumor that could lead to a trade ..or a some player gets cut, posters will always want to turn up the heat in the juice pot to
see how many bubbles they can create and disperse.... LOL

and even with McCarthy and GM Ted Thompson, when did the Packers every draft a WR or RB or a TE in the first round in the Aaron Rodgers era
to help give Rodgers those weapons ? They never do, never did.
So Maybe it's something still in the veins of the management leftover that this is just the way Packers operate in player personnel when it came to Rodgers.

and while people can talk about the distaste for Rodgers vs Mccarthy, could it be that the new HC could also be privately having a distaste for Rodgers too?
For a guy that many still see playing on a high level and easily among the better top QBs in the NFL ?

i just dont see GB redshirting 1st round draftee Jordan Love for 3 years, the way they did Rodgers while waiting on Brett favre to finally make his mind up.

Then about the time his rookie contract is up, its' time to franchise tag him to keep him from walking.
Sit Love for one year, as KC did with Mahomes, and Texans
did Watson, ..and afterwards the 1st ballot Hall of Famer has to bounce.... the same way other HOFers such as Montana, and Favre had to.
;)

Last place he would want to come....is here. Rodgers/McCarthy divorce was ugly. I've heard all kinds of stupid stories regarding those two....Wouldn't want that pettiness here in Dallas. We got enough problems.

Jordan Love will require some much-needed time to be groomed.

He's too raw at this juncture to be a threat to Rodgers.

Rodgers surely knows it. He'll go nowhere.

McCarthy will not work with him. From my understanding their relationship was on the rocks.

Aaron Rodgers is an upgrade over Dak in arm talent and experience but maybe not in team leadership and potential longevity. Really the question is how much more can you upgrade the offense without adding to the defense. No matter who the QB is the team is going to need some D. Aaron Rodgers lost to San Fran in the NFC championship because Green Bay gave up 37 points.
Go figure that it is still a team game even if you have a hall of fame qb at the helm.

MM and Rogers don’t care for each other. He threw a tantrum before and ended MM job. Or at least helped him along.
