brady had won a sb or 2 before he got his big payday. Dak has won 1 wc round po game.
And back then BB was still learning and brady had become the guy.
But from what I have read, BB was wanting to get rid of brady and go with garapalo , but kraft traded him away.
so BB could have went after dalton , cam, or some other vet , but he chose to go with his young cheap qb. He is going to rely on his defense.

Playing dak 1 year on the tag means they cant test him out with MM and then decide what to do next off season.
If they sign him now, it is a 4-5 year commitment.
Yes, Brady had, but you said BB doesn't pay the price at all, not that he only pays the price for Super Bowl QB's.

And sure, it's possible BB was looking for a change later in Brady's career, but I'm not sure that has any bearing on what we are talking about. QBs get older, and teams move on sometimes.

As for playing Dak on the tag one year to test him out with MM, I really don't think that's as big a deal as some do - it's not as if Dak is an unknown, either his personality or his physical skills - but even so, the Cowboys don't seem to want to do it that way, so that's really all that counts.

Yeh my eye test told me our o line was average in pass pro. Receivers dropped the most balls in the league. Defense was trash along with special teams. Along with coaching. O and a slightly above average rushing attack.

Did dak have a couple bad games or a few bad drives sure. But every single qb in the nfl does. The problem with cowboys fans is they only watch cowboy games. We went up against some really good defenses this year. All while our defense let Josh Allen, Sam Darnold, and Mitch Trubisky look like the next tom brady.

To be fair, sometimes bad drops can be attributed to bad throws. I know it's a receiver's job to catch what is thrown, but just like every incompletion isn't the QB's fault, every drop isn't the receiver's fault. Dak still has things to work on, like any QB. But he works on his game in the off-season. He'll be fine.

agreed. I think its 50/50 probably....I saw the other thread with the video. some of the throws he put the ball where the WR was the only one who could make a play, but they didn't.....some of them were throws that were put behind the WR where they had to reach back, in fact of the bad throws, those were the most common, where in a crossing pattern he throws a little late or a little behind them, this is a correctable aspect of his game....for a QB, there are two attributes to being accurate, having the mind's eye, in knowing where I need to put the ball and second being able to put it there....in most of the throws he knows where to put the ball and he has ability to put it there...in these other throws, he just doesn't throw it to the right place. also, I saw a few throws even during the season that were due to his bad foot work. he worked on his footwork last year and showed great great improvement, when he got away from it, his throws were off, but that wasn't too often.

Really? Based on the drunk eye test a lot of his detractors seem to observe him with it would seem that Dak Prescott has reached his ceiling.

You're right... Pigeons don't play chess. (Aren't you the bright one) That's why it would be an exercise in futility to play chess with a pigeon. They can't comprehend anything about the game. They'll just knock over pieces, **** on the board, then strut around like they accomplished something. Kind of like arguing with someone who fails to comprehend anything but their own bias. They'll ignore everything which doesn't support their narrative, resort to name calling, and finally, (when the person starts ignoring them) they'll claim victory. If you thought for one second, I meant Pigeons actually play chess... Then someone's an idiot, but it isn't me. Here's another analogy for you: Explaining a joke is like dissecting a frog. You understand it better, but the frog dies in the process.

I got one for you genius. You can't polish a turd, but keep trying with your attempt at being witty.

yes the throw could be better but any wr will tell you if it hits their hands they should bring it in. Imagine making excuses for grown men who wouldn't even make that excuse themselves

If somebody really wants to they could make a montage of bad throws made by Mahomes, Wentz, Brees, Rodgers, Wilson, Watson....and all other QB's.

QB's making bad throws are as much a part of football as running the ball and cheerleaders. They all have bad throws. All of them. Every single year.

But the Dak detractors act as if only Dak makes bad throws because they only look at montages of Dak throwing behind a receiver or missing a deep throw. Therefore Dak is bad because only he makes bad throws. That's their logic.

:lmao::lmao2:You made a dumb comment because you didn't understand what point was being made, then you come at me with this polished turd comment, and I'm the one trying to be witty?:facepalm:... Oh, by the way... Science has proven... You can polish a turd. You would still be a turd... But at least you would be a shiny one. Also... "You can't polish a turd" is probably closer to being an Idiom than an Analogy.

Thanks for calling me a genius. I don't think I would go that far though. Intelligent? Yeah. More intelligent than you? Definitely. Genius? I just don't know. But thanks anyhow. I appreciate it.

Bobby Belt has written a long essay debunking a lot of the claims people make about Dak Prescott to discredit him.

1. Anyone could win with Dak Prescott's supporting cast.
2. Ezekiel Elliott carries Dak Prescott.
3. Dak Prescott disappears in the clutch.
4. Dak Prescott pads his stats in garbage time.
5. Dak Prescott isn't an elite passer.
6. Dak Prescott hasn't won a Super Bowl/isn't the best QB in the league so he can't be the highest paid.
7. Dak Prescott is to blame for his receivers' drops.
8. Dak Prescott doesn't beat good teams/win big games.
9. "My eyes tell me"

Belt provides evidence to counter each of these claims. Great info regardless of how you currently feel about Dak.

question then -

how many truly great quarterbacks ever had to have a DEBUNKING WHY THEY SUCK thread about them?

i can't think of one off the top of my head.

Trust me, based on some of your post it's highly debatable where your intelligence actually lives. You remind me a ton of Jason Garrett in terms of outsmarting yourself, not sure if that is a true mark of well rounded intelligence, or practical intelligence.

Russell Wilson and Matt Ryan come to mind immediately. Wasn't hard at all. Rodgers as of late.

It happens all the time.

There is more love for Carson Wentz on this site than there is on most Eagles boards. Many of their fans question his new contract. I have read more than one post saying they would trade Wentz for Dak.
