Oddly enough I just watched 60 Minutes and they had a report on a man who survived a bear attack. He said among other things his "ankle was dangling off his legs held on by some tendons"
This man is very active, hunts, dirt bikes, etc
It took him "several months" and he is fine now

I'll just say yikes and leave this here....hopefully there's no damage to the nerves and blood supply, smh.

What is the prognosis of an ankle dislocation?

While the goal for every injury is to return the patient to their pre-injury level of function, patients who have dislocated their ankle may not necessarily be able to achieve that goal.

When the ankle dislocates, blood supply to the cartilage that lines the bone within the joint may be damaged, eventually leading to arthritis (arthro=joint + it is=inflammation). As well, if the bones do not perfectly align after injury, the risk of arthritis in the future increases.

Arthritis of the joint may cause pain and stiffness. Loss of range of motion in the ankle can alter gait, the motion of walking, and subsequently affect other parts of the skeleton including the hips and back.
He won't be as mobile most likely.

Much like Aikman when he first his back, Romo when he had back surgery, and most every quarterback when the injuries take their toll.

But he'll still be able to move in the pocket and throw the same.

The tackle looked similar to how seattle broke Allen Hurns' ankle. Beasely was almost injured in the same game by a similar tackle. I dont think its a dirty play but perhaps just bad technique. I suspect the league will begin to take a look at it.

I don’t mean to call anyone dirty. It was just the pulling back with the legs whipping into Dak’s legs. It had the form of a horse collar without the horse collar grab.

They did the same exact thing to pollard the play before.

Maybe maybe not . Could be next year or longer . If they did surgery right away then that’s not a good sign at all .
It’s a sign that the bone broke through the skin. Had to do it before leg got infected like Alex smith

I’m done with this site. I told one of the posters he was scum for his comments about Dak’s injury and it was deleted. I was given a 24 hour ban last week for no reason. This site has become pathetic because of some of the posters AND some of the mods. I’m sure this will be deleted as well but I couldn’t give a **** less. I’m done here.

Thanks for taking the time to let everyone know you’re done with this site.

If we're going to play the guessing game. Dak is out about 16 to 20 months. Signs a deal with another team and is the starting QB there for 2 - 4 years. Where it goes from there, only that next job performance will tell. By the looks of it, it's going to be a long road back.

When I initially saw his ankle, I thought it may just be dislocated. Praying to God that he doesn't have a similar injury as Gordon Hayward had for you basketball fans who know the reference. Get well soon Dak!
It looked bad!
