I'm one that has hated on Jaylon a lot this year. I think I hate Jaylon because it doesn't seem like he is trying hard on every play. The quote he had at the end of the year, "go watch the film of me" or whatever it was kind of sealed it for me. I like Dak but I will point out when Dak has a bad game or bad turnover in a game. I hate on Jaylon cuz Jaylon doesn't own up to his bad play. At least Dak will take accountability for his bad games. I respect that in Dak. He has a humbleness about him. Jaylon would be good to learn some of that from Dak.
I can't disagree there. You make a good point that Jaylon doesn't take responsibility when he makes a mistake...... at least in public. Even Lawrence came out and said they have played soft or something like that.

I'm not saying Jaylon is great but he isn't as bad as some make him out to be

You just have to know Jerry is dying to be proven right on Jaylon.

He’s already been proven wrong on Jaylon. I’m sure Jerry is looking to get out of the bad contract he signed him to. If the Cowboys make him a June 1 cut they’ll wipeout 7.2 million off the cap. It’s going to be hard finding a role for him where he’s not a liability. Jaylon has been given every opportunity and it’s time to move on.

He’s bad for the money we’re paying him. He’s not the answer bro. Guy has poor lateral movement & angle taking. I’m tired of seeing dude make a tackle 10 yards down the field, jump up & celebrate. Like tf is that? LVE ain’t the answer either, & Lee should retire. Everyone outside of Dlaw & Diggs can go imo.

You just have to know Jerry is dying to be proven right on Jaylon. That he really is smarter than everyone else. That it really was bad schemes that are to blame for Jaylon’s poor play. I absolutely can see him directly asking DC candidates what there plan was to make Jaylon a star. I guarantee you he had never even thought about cutting him and admitting his mistakes

Jerry has to get Dak’s approval first.

Jaylon is not the problem with the defense. We need tackles. Not just warm bodies. Jaylon's a pursuer and blitzer. He's not a wrecking machine. Too much is being put on him.

Me, myself and I.
Every GM and HC wants an honest opinion.
I believe McCarthy gets the DC he wants. Jerry will let McCarthy have who he wants. Jerry learned from the Garrett disaster. I think. I hope.
You are wrong. All signs point toward the opposite being true.

Ha!

He has banned media members who dared made critical remarks.

Jerry wants the truth? That's rich.
Not to mention Dan Reeves getting hired then kicked out two days later. For telling too much truth.

Kingsy, where do people get this crapp from?

No one is denying that LVE is playing bad. Another Lee made out of glass, but worse. They’re all trash. The fact that you’re always only defending Jaylon is pathetic. Chill out with your man-crush my guy.
Being you're the only poster that keeps making up this imaginary scenario...seems like you're the one with the man-crush with me lol....I know y'all MO man....guys like you do this on this site all the time.....I got one guy telling me I have man-crush on Zeke....I got one telling me I have a man crush on Dak....funny I was never accused of having a man crush on Romo when I defended him all the time on here....Ahh well.....maybe you should mind the business that pays you since you seem to have trouble understanding what a "man crush" is?

It's a galactic leap in logic to assume Jerry thinks there is anything wrong with Jaylon's play and that he would need to bring him up. Jerry likely see the tackle numbers and assumes Jaylon is playing at an elite level.

Other than Jeff Heath I can’t think of another player who’s taking as much abuse from the fans as Jaylon. He needs a fresh start somewhere else.

How often do you interview with a company and tell them how bad they suck or how bad their current employees suck? Most likely he focused on how he could get the best out of what they had, what he'd do differently, etc.

but this does not fit their conspiracy / narrative.

Exactly, DLaw came out and owned up and my disdain for him kind of went down. Then he started playing better. LVE, DLaw, Dak, Zeke all get a pass in my book until next year. They all came out and said they needed to play better when they had bad games. I can easily forgive a player for having a bad game or even a bad season if they own up to it. Jaylon and Woods are not my favorite players right now cuz of the things they have said in the media.

Now if they own up to things in the locker room but not in public is a different story as far as team chemistry but unfortunately I only see what's said in the media.

I also agree with what you think about Jaylon. He might not be that bad as he seemed to play this year. I feel Nolan misused him in a bad way. When he's dropping into coverage and trying to cover WR's or TB's in the flat. That's just not his game. He is an attacker. Just attack the LOS and go after the QB. Don't think, just attack. I saw a Fish report and he said something that I felt was meaningful. He said Jaylon plays one way and that's north and south. Going east and west and sideline to to sideline trying to cover pass catchers and playing in zones is not his game. I believe that. So hopefully Quinn will use Jaylon as an attacker, Jaylon can play to his strengths and be a good player again. I got a little hope still there for Jaylon. He needs a PR guy to coach him with the media tho so he doesn't come off an an entitled brat.

I don't think Jaylon is terrible in coverage. I remember one time, not this season, that they had Jaylon lined up on a receiver on the goal line and they threw it 3 straight times and Jaylon defended it perfect but on that 3rd pass the receiver made a fantastic catch. Everybody in the chat called Jaylon trash....... some this season a run went to Leighton or Lee side, away from Jaylon, and he ran across the field and made the tackle after the first down and the chat said he was trash. My thing is watch the play instead of the ending of the play. Another thing that would help is most of the time we don't know these players assignments and can't blame a player because he is close at the end of the play.

I have seen Diggs get blamed even though he wasn't covering the receiver, came off his guy but got blamed because he was the only one chasing.

Woods saying he don't give 100 percent every play turned me from him. At least Jaylon is dependable to be available on gameday.

Literally, the only positive that can legitimately be said about Jaylon is that he’s ironically been durable and available to play.

I mean it ain’t just Jaylon....Jaylon was a 2nd round pick...LVE was a 1st rounder....I don’t buy the narrative of him wanting to be right on Jaylon because Taco was a much higher pick and they let him go and didn’t think twice. But if this narrative was true.....seems like LVE would be the pick he would need to succeed.
Tacos wasn’t paid a second contract though. Jaylon was.

100% guarantee his name came up. And regardless of what Quinn REALLY thought of Jaylon you know he said to Jerry " great player that will fit perfect in my scheme."
What Jerry needs to do is sit down with Quinn and McCarthy and say give me your shopping list of players you want to draft in the first 4 rounds. After each coach hands him their list he should crumble up McCarthys list and throw it in the trash bin and say youve got plenty to work with!!!
