Surprised that Rothlisberger isn’t on that list
Payton seems happy with Hill and Winston or at least that's the face he's putting on. Since they acquired Jameis Winston, the blue crab population on the coast is mysteriously down. Two more franchises that will need a solid QB to be competitive enough to get to the playoffs. Two more teams in the hunt and may need to draft one.
I agree, he seemed like he passed the torch, which was kind of nice to see. Whether or not either is starting material is really up for debate. My guess is that if anything, they would be a one year bridge player if they don't have a QB on their board with pick 21 or 28.Payton seems happy with Hill and Winston or at least that's the face he's putting on. Why not Stafford to IND or CAR, NE or WAS? He deserves a shot since he's been in NFL purgatory for almost his entire career.
I did not think it was possible for the Eagles to save money trading him this year. Cutting or trading him will accelerate a lot of dead cap. I do not think trading him allows the hit over two years.
Eagles are basically screwed with Wentz and his contract and might have to sweeten the trade with a draft pick or two to get a team to take Wentz’s contract.
Might not be all about the money if Belichick shows some interest. He's all about getting the QB some best friends like a D and run game.I’m sure he will be a consideration for several teams as well. WAS is certainly in the market. Not as sure about CAR or NE at Stafford’s expected price tag.

Payton is a gambler, he took a risk with Brees and his surgically repaired shoulder and he fashions himself as a QB whisperer so he can do anything but one thing he has done is build a pretty good team for any QB to step in and lead.I agree, he seemed like he passed the torch, which was kind of nice to see. Stafford has made the big money and he's an also ran in the QB rich NFL world, the forgotten man. I do not underestimate the drive he might have for more than money and he wouldn't be the first vet to take less to get a ring. It would also depend on whether NE's OC gets a HC gig. That would be a surprise. Stafford has been about big money since he entered the league. And Belichick has always expected a discount at the position.
I'm enjoying the whining by the Dak haters. Gonna need boxes of kleenex when Dak signs a new contract Jerry will be offering him soon.
Yes. Never missed a game his whole career. 5th in yards, TDs, completions.Question of the Day:.... Will Phillip Rivers eventually be in the NFL Hall of Fame ?

Easily. 8x pro bowl, 7x NFL top 100, 60K+ yards, 400+ TDsQuestion of the Day:.... Will Phillip Rivers eventually be in the NFL Hall of Fame ?
The Eagles cap hit would be too much.Wow.
I suspected both might retire but it’s big to see both at the same time.
Truly the end of a era and changing of the guard.
With Rivers retirement I have to wonder about Wentz to the Colts.
