The guy is uncanny at times, he throws some balls falling to the ground and twisting around. This is something coaches tend to frown on but thus far he has been able to pull off these throws without throwing a lot of ints.
Yep. It reminds me so much of Roger and Fran doing their thing and then flinging that rock. It's uncanny. You know chasing Mahomes around you get your cardio in for the day. I can't believe the jams he gets himself out of sometimes.

During the regular season, I started a discussion about how we should rebuild our defense similar to Tampa Bay as they had the #1 run defense and a great front 7 to work with. Several people said they didn't have a good enough secondary to be an elite defense. What I just witnessed was a dominate front that held Brees, Rodgers and Mahomes all in check. Brady was solid in their run, but it was the defense that gave them this year's chip.

Living here in NY, I witnessed a similar defense with the Giants. That loss to them when we were the #1 seed still sickens me. Kind of like the Saints, we handled them well in the regular season beating them twice, but they beat us in the third matchup. The Giants like the Bucs beat Cowboys, Packers and the undefeated Patriots, which were the top 3 offenses that season, where Patriots were one of the best in that era. Can anyone name the starting secondary for the Giants that started in that Super Bowl? We certainly remember Strahan, Osi, Tuck.

Building a defense in this pass happy era is all about generating a consistent pass rush with your front 4, playing extra men in coverage. A defense also has to be able to stop the run without the need of bringing extra men inside the box. Win the trench battle, win the game!

On offense, having a good, cohesive OL is paramount. Also, having a running back to exploit less defenders inside the box, is a huge advantage. I know there are many haters of Zeke on this board and he had a terrible season, but he is still needed. He may not be a homerun back any longer, but he is still an excellent power back that can take advantage of this type of coverage fronts teams play.
4-3 defense wins another Super Bowl championship.

Tom Landry invented it. Jimmy Johnson modified it. Seahawks, Buccaneers 2xs, Eagles, Giants, Saints, Rams, Ravens 1st Super Bowl, and Colts all used the 4-3 defense to win Super Bowls.

Run to win, Pass to score, and Defense wins championships. Football is that simple. Jerry Dumbo GM Jones is that Dumb.

This is going to be the narrrative all offseason, and it's annoying.

More important than the Tampa DL was the injuries to the Chiefs OL. That is what happens when both your starting tackles go out.
It’s funny how our entire starting OL except Williams missed significant time and everyone says Zeke sucks ect. Watching all world Mahommes looking like Andy Dalton last night should show cowboys fans that missing your starting offensive line actually matters.

But it won’t. Too much self hate and agendas around here.

The takeaway from highlighting the TB defense is they went out and draft defensive players in the middle like Vea, Bush and Winfield.

Seems the FO will site the OT situation of KC like theirs some sort of parallel to the Cowboys when there's nothing alike. A Super Bowl team vs a bottom feeding team in the worst division this season.

DT, LB, S and OT... Cowboys need to focus on these positions this off-season.
