Why do people expect the same two guys to suddenly start doing things differently? It's not as if their jobs are on the line.

Nah, This is a straight up Stephen Jones special right here. I don't even blame Jerry for this stuff.

This team does a terrible job of evaluating players on other teams. That's why we end up with Dontari Poe, Daryl Worley, etc..

McClay does evaluate every FA. Stephen then selects the bottom of the list. He had to overpay for Dak and now is shopping for the cheapest of the cheap. If a FA wants more that a 1yr deal for more than vet min just keep on walking to Jacksonville.

Ya, we hear that EVERY year......signing our own guys to ridiculous contracts and how smart it is.....hows it working?
Basically "we already worked hard on Dak, you want us to do more?" Yes, we do. That whole savings for this year from signing Dak nonsense was, well nonsense. We overpaid for Dak and are silent in FA.

Stop with the signed the best FA stuff too, we could've done that a long time ago (not you, seeing fans parroting that point for the FO) o_O Then they wonder why the FO is confident telling us it's raining when it smells much muskier lol (pungent; stings the nostrils) :D

Look who they are interested in...

The player is either cheap, old, injured or str8 up washed up, nothing has changed...
This organization will never learn.....

Too bad cause there is/was some good players out there who will help some teams win
Yet another hater whine fest thread. Free agency hasn’t even officially started. Again, very entertaining though:lmao:

This is an exaggeration. No fan expects them to go out and spend like a drunken sailor in FA and bring in a bunch of top level vets.

But it would be nice if just once, they went out and signed a player capable of locking down a position of need instead of signing a bunch of JAGs all over the place with their fingers crossed that hopefully one or two can still be on the roster by the end of October.
Why not take 10m and sign one quality player
Instead of spending 10m on several jags,?

Was there anyone who went today that you wanted? Not a ton of great players out there.

But yeah, let's start the whining.

well i do like and sort of agree with the idea of re sign your own guy and do not spend big in free agency since u will have to over pay but jerry and stephen mess that up too so i dont know!

They have always done it this way. We compete to WIN the division. We sign players to win the division. The Jones combo meal are content with that scenario. We have a desperate need for DT, Safety, and LB. We will get enough to possibly win the division. They will not pay high dollar for the previous mentioned positions! If we played in a competitive division would they spend? Not sure. They have to see what we see every Sunday,Right? Superbowl is not part of their thinking at this point. LETS WIN THE DIVISION and beat the Eagles, WFT, and Giants! Just WOW!

The cowboys have the most comp picks in the league, and a high position in the draft order. They have their qb signed for 4-5 years, or however long it is

Why would they go all out in free agency?

Their modus operandi over the past several years has been to sign guys in FA to fill holes so they don't feel like they have to draft for need, and then get the best player they think is available when they're on the clock. Its not a bad approach, but their execution has been lacking.

I don't think we are asking to go all out on free agency.. just get one or two impact players who will make a difference, and not five or six jags who will either get reinjured, cut or beat out by our own crap we got on the roster. Not asking for too much here. But i doubt it will happen anyway.

Most FA’s are just that,. oh and Boys don’t have much $ to spend any way.

no one is saying to go all out. But have you seen the glaring holes at DT, CB, Safety ? There’s some really good players available at those positions. Plenty of money to sign at least a couple impact starters.

Yep, Bingo!!!

CZ board consensus is 2 good defense players minus the warts Stephen loves, and they won't even do that which should be bare minimum.
