I don't agree with this. I think it depends on what you are asking him to do. But whatever, I'm not here to argue how good or bad he is. I'm not even saying he is who I would take. What I am saying is that he is kinda perfect for the scheme requirement at the other DE.

He couldn’t play the 3T very well his last couple of years and you think he’d be a good scheme for as a strong side DE here?

That’s a massive risk to take in the 2nd round. Like I said if you want to take a flier on him in the 4th or 5th round, I have no issue with that.

But he’s way too risky at 44.

I actually like Wilson, but more at 99, then 44. Going into the season he was a top 20 pick and the #1 DT in the class. Willing to give me a mulligan for last season. If they take him in the late 3rd rd, could become a nice bargain pick, but not at 44.

For our scheme, he absolutely could be a fit. I don't understand the confusion here. Why does nobody seem to understand that the Seattle Defensive front four used more of a 3Tech or 34 DE with more pass rush skills at the off DE? Seriously, I don't get it. But again, not here to argue. I know what Seattle did up front and if that's what we are trying to recreate, then yes. This guy fits the other DE, absolutely does.

Lastly, I never said one damn word about a second round pick, or really where he goes. That was all you. I just said I understood why they were looking at him. Figure it out Sydla.

could be but if he is then he
is talking to people inside the building

Yes, and if one ounce of anything he reported was actually true, then no one expect a traitor to the team would ever talk to him again. So that begs the obvious question? Is he just making things up, reporting rumors with no sources, or doing the team's bidding by peddling falsehoods to hopefully throw other teams off. He can't be getting info from inside the building and blabbing it all over social media and continue to keep those sources and relationships.

Why does anyone believe this guy. He’s literally the opposite of dialed in

99 is fine with me. We have two picks in the 3rd, so if he takes a year to develop I’m cool with that

But we need starters/guys playing serious snaps at CB, FS, DT

He had a knee injury last season.

"
On the field, a torn meniscus kept Wilson from being as disruptive as he was during his all-conference 2019 and shut him down in mid-November.

“It definitely was one of the hardest things ever,” Wilson said. “... When it first happened, they wanted me to get surgery, but I didn’t. I was fighting it. I fought as long as I could until we all came to the conclusion that it was best for me at the time (to shut down).”

NFL draft: Marvin Wilson doesn’t regret final FSU football season, even if it cost him millions (tampabay.com)

It could be another situation where we simply did not see his best because of an injury that most didn't know about. I'm not in favor of the pick because of what I see on his 2020 tape, but if we go there in the second round, I'll hope the Cowboys have done their homework on him.

I prefer McNeill at the 1-tech position because of the skills he actually did display last year rather than Wilson based on what we think he could have been without the injury.

I had this very nightmare the other night. I hope my dreams don't come true. a DT has to be strong and only 2 other DTs from all the pro days did fewer reps of 225 lbs than Wilson. He did 23. 11 LBs and even 1 safety did more!

I hope not. He is very inconsistent. One time he is this great player who is in lockable where other times he couldn’t do anything. Play is not consistent.

In the 2019 Wilson had better numbers. Voch and Jeff are pretty high on him.

He hasn’t been right as far as back as a lot of people can remember. He’s not as dialed in as he makes himself out to be
I've been watching him for months and haven't seen him being wrong yet. I've seen people on here saying things that he didn't actually say.

He just brought up about kj wright and cowboys looking to sign him. Then backtracked snd said cowboys aren’t interested when likely they weren’t in the first place. He always does that. Says someone were interested in gets everyone hyped then says na they won’t be signing him not interested LOL
