Before Prescott got hurt. He was on pace to beat Peyton Manning’s old time passing yards for the season.
even I say, that may not have happened. the first 5 games we played against 3 playoff teams and defense was horrid. the offenses we played later on (including last 4 games), were putrid, so we probably wouldn't need to pass as much....so averages would have come down....defintley in the top 5 though...

No Cowboys QB has ever been the All Pro team QB. Neither Staubach nor Aikman was ever seen or rewarded as the best QB of their eras, not even for one season.

Staubach went to 6 pro bowls
Aikman 6
Romo 4
Meredith and White 1 each
Dak has been to 2 pro bowls in 5 seasons.

But Dallas won 5 Super Bowls; played in 8; and played in 2 NFL championship games prior to the SB era, yet never once had a QB make the all pro first team.

So I don’t really give a damn whether Dak ranks in the top 5 or top 10. Staubach was 2-1, Aikman 3-1, and Morton 0-1 in Super Bowls for Dallas; Meredith was 0-2 in the NFL championship games vs GB.

All of the Dallas QBs, winners and losers in championship games, played with great supporting casts on both sides of the ball and great coaches. So stop fretting over defending and berating Dak. Build a championship team, and Dak will be just fine. No Cowboys QB has ever been a guy to put an inferior team on his back and win.

Wasn't Simms a total failure as an NFL QB? And isn't he now a talking head?

Parcells was a total failure as an NFL offensive lineman.

A fun trivia fact is Parcells was selected by Detroit in the 7th round, one player after Bob Hayes in the 1964 draft. Leroy Kelly (8th round) and Roger Staubach (10th round) were drafted after Parcells.

There are 4 QBs I put definitively ahead of Dak - Rodgers, Mahomes, Wilson and Brady. Brady may be old but he has some intangibles that make him a top QB still. After that there are a bunch of QBs in a second tier which includes Dak. You can argue, Watson had a good year or Josh Allen and I accept those arguments, but we'd be quibbling over details. In this tier I see Watson, Allen, Roethlisberger, Jackson etc. I don't see Jackson as a top QB. He is a QB who can run better than many RBs and this threat opens up the passing game for him. The bottom line is he wins games so he has to be counted in the top 10.

The point is Dak is good enough to win a SB, as are all the other second tier QBs. My issue with Dak is he is clearly 2nd tier but he is paid 1st tier money which is about a $5 million per year difference.

Having Dak ranked 11th does not mean you're anti-Dak either.

Stop being so sensitive. You're too in your feels about Dak.
Saying Dak is 11 is an insult, especially after a few other QBs you placed above him and in your Top 10. Clearly, you don't like Dak.
