I seen enough to show me he should have got reps last year
Mike Nolan left players and fans scratching their heads last season. I wondered the same thing about Randy Gregory.
Yeah, not really sure what Nolan was thinking. They should’ve been playing a lot of the young guys to let them get some experience.

Ah well… it is just dumb water under the stupid bridge… or something like that.

In his defense….we are starting to possibly see why they have Armstrong so many snaps. It’s possible as a rookie Anae wasn’t the player he is now.
True on Armstrong
But we will see when season starts
Armstrong had lots of snaps last year and I think that helped him
Anae should have got some snaps that would have helped him too

Yeah, if it comes down to Anae or Gifford… well, goodbye Gifford.

One is just an off ball LB while the other can be and is a pressure player who can play on the edge. No comparison between their respective value.

I can see Anae being the primary backup to Gregory.

the missed time with the hamstring hurt his chances to unseat vet s Basham and Armstrong, imo .. but much depending upon status and plans with Cholston

He's a natural pass rusher its just a question of whether he's athletic enough to do it against top NFL players.
Natural pass rusher...that he is.

He’s a guy that could be that 3rd down rotational player.

A little light in the pants against the run though.

Yeah I don’t disagree he should’ve got something….especially since the defense and team was bad.

Per Fish report, McCarthy himself was put on notice by the Jones with Gregory's puzzling lack of playing time, ,,

He was sooo close to two really big plays there.

i luuv the way he knocks down, swipes away blockers' extended arms ... and he contours his body away from OTs bodies
His arms, feet and body is always working Relentless motor with rush skills to go with it ..
He doesn't stay blocked when he's set to go wide. ... the run defense should come as he gains more game experience and he has to keep focus
vs penalties. ..

Yeah I ran the Ravens for the mock we did here last year and drafted Anae to play rush LB. Seems like a more natural fit for him.
In both those clips his best rushes were with his hand down and this defense has a Leo LB pass rush position and Nolan's defense was primarily a 3-4.
