Would be dumb. Probably don't resign C. Williams next year and McGovern fills his spot for cheap for another year.

Of course there is interest, but no way do we have the depth to give him up. I’d say he is probably worth a 1st to a desperate team on the open market. He can be your starter with more upside potential and a manageable contract.

Its certainly smarter to trade the pending free agent.
Well, you won't get as much back for a pending free agent.

There's a price for each guy that makes sense. That price would be a lot higher for McGovern.

Why? Williams is the starter, McGovern is still a backup at this point.

Regardless, I have no interest in trading away the guy who would likely be your starting left guard next year in McGovern.
