I've torn both ACL's as well as meniscus tears for a total of 5 knee surgeries.

Wow. Reading these posts, I've sure had an easy life.

All I had was a dislocated wrist and some very minor knee injuries.

Two left knee surgeries, three left shoulder surgeries and two right hip surgeries and a replacement. Three fractures and stitches everywhere. One more hand surgery. High school and college ball was rough on me. Lol

Your a lucky guy. A lot Of the injuries are very manageable when one is young but in later years they become more of an issue....its a blessing

I'm recovering from a torn labrum. Had surgery in August.

Did my first push-up in over 2 years a month ago.

What I am noticing now is that all of those breaks and fractures hurt more now. Not like OUCH pain but just a dull lingering annoyance. Also gets very stiff up here in Canada lol

Agree. Can’t imagine what it will be like 10 years from now. I just keep seeing visions of some of the ex NFL guys in their 40’s walking like their in their 70’s...no offense to GP or CC

Motorcycle accident last year.. broken neck, wrist, hip, torn Acl and LCL, severe concussion but no road rash. 10 surgeries later I'm 95 percent healed!... no permanent damage...

A severed Achilles tendon, hamstring pull, groin pull and strained arch, over several years. o_O
Also, a possible concussion when a DE pounded my helmet. I saw stars and heard bells. :omg:

Also I had a spiral break of my right leg, (motorcycle spill) got me a titanium tubular implant.

*Torn ACL - in 7th grade, didn't know what it was. Long story short I didn't get my speed back until my Senior year.

*Plantar fasciitis - hurt like a mofo, 10th grade

*Hamstring strains

*Groin strain - Senior year HS, played through it.

Bruised wrist - Only college injury, needed soft cast.

Guillain Barre' Syndrome, back then they called it Paralysis instead of Syndrome.

They did not know a lot about it when I had it. So it still effects me to this day.
However it never stopped me from doing most of what I wanted to do. I still played a lot of ball, just not competitive.
Baseball, Football, Basketball. I just was not as fast as what I used to be.

Also had some operations on my Achilles Tendons from it.

So I perfectly understand why Travis decided to retire.
