Will Cowboys fans care next year

Of course I'll be here. So will most of you. It's just a viscous cycle for us fans. We can sit and only be hopeful that one day we will thrust out of these waters of mediocrity. Unfortunately, for that to happen, it's going to take some luck and probably some law of averages.

The one problem with Jerry and company is they seem to keep this ship floating out of water just enough. The team hasn't been absolutely terrible in some time, but always just good enough to make you think they can turn the corner and become a battleship. As we know, they usually turn into a leaky lifeboat and sink at season's end.

So, yes, I will be here. I'm just getting more cautionary to the tale. Instead of sinking with the boat, I now always make sure to grab my life preserver.

I guess what I don't get is what do you gain should Dallas win a SB? You are not getting a ring, no money. Satisfaction that when they got on a roll you were there? lol This past season was disappointing no doubt to see the talent on the team not go out and play to their ability and to make the mistakes they did, very disappointing but as a grown man I can get over my disappointment. Next season I be right back pulling for this team win or lose

What do you expect from a beagle fan? He certainly can’t go to their forum and talk about that loser team. Especially when his love interest(Wentz) isn’t on the team anymore. Take him for what he’s worth, a troll!

It is kind of funny really, because people are under the assumption that by cheering for the Cowboys you somehow are a zombie to Jerry? I was watching the Cowboys long before Jerry and will be watching after Jerry. Right now all I hope to see from the organization is to continue to bring in good talent from the draft to give this team a chance to compete.

Some will get smart and not be emotionally invested until the Playoffs, if they make it back. Fans are fed up the hype of the Cowboys. Everyone will still watching, but just not drinking the kool-aid.

maybe because you are an adult?? Maybe because you are JUST A FAN.
IM much healthier as an individual and in my marriage by growing up and 15 minutes after a win or a loss getting on with life. I used to let it ruin my next 2-3 days when I was in my 20s. Yep... I was a total idiot. You grow up and realize if we win 4 super bowls in a row it wont change my life one bit.

Of course Cowboys fans will care. With all the different opinions on this forum the constant is we do care for our Cowboys. Some of us are more critical on the team and individual players and that is fine. You look at the number of posts some of these people have, 10K, 30k, 100k....and equate that to time invested. You don't put in all that time on something you have no passion for. If they suck next season , we will say they suck...and not bring out our list of excuses. If they perform better, we will cheer and support them more regardless of who the bone headed owner/GM is. I will tell you one thing, if they are one and done next season, all hell will break loose and machetes will come out.....beginning with MM head.

what is the "Kool-aid?" who supplies it?

All teams start the season being optimistic. If you arent optimistic at the start of the season, you should just stop playing. Thats not kool-aid.

I'm going back to taping games. If they win, I'll watch. If they lose, delete.

I can't live and die with them every Sunday anymore.

Something about the West Coast... The Bengals played the 49ers twice in the Superbowl (1982 and 1989). Lost to the 49ers both times... Now they play the Rams and lost...

Kool-aid was the hype video they just put out, and the SB talk we'll hear once TC starts courtesy of Jerry to sell tickets. 26 years gives me and others, with a brain, sense enough not fall into the circus and call this team what it is a non contender. Maybe you should drink that Kool-aid and mind your business.

If you had a bfrain, youd know Jerry doesnt need to do ANYTHING to sell tickets. Jerry could go silent for the next 24 months and the Cowboys would still have the highest rated games on tv, would still be talked about on all the sports shows far more than any other team, and they would lead the league in attendance... AGAIN.

Mind your own business? lol... again, if you had a brain youd know that every post on these boards is everyone's business.

Still a fan just dont follow them as close too much. Use to have Sunday Ticket, SXM PxP just to follow all the games. Now I see myself watching the games less. I miss a few last year and I see myself missing more. I recall my dad being like this and I see why. I think the only reason he watch now is for us to talk about it.
