He’s not Tom Brady so he’s Daniel Jones?
Matt Stafford was at 64 each of the two years before he went to LAR. That’s recent football. Josh Allen was 63 last year and has only been over 64 once in his 4 years. Russell Wilson has been 64.x or lower for 60% of his career. I don’t agree you can simply look at that stat and say all those guys are more like Daniel Jones than top 10 QBs.
You cannot define a QB by 1 isolated stat. A QB is everything amalgamated. Some are more accurate but fail at other things like Kurt Cousins. Some are not particularly accurate, but make up for it like Josh Allen. Like Lamar Jackson. You don’t have to be Tom Brady to make it work.
I pointed out Brady because Brady threw an obscene amount of times and had a higher completion % than Jackson. But let's go ahead and go with this one then, slick.
Kyler Murray threw 481 times and had a 69.2% completion
Dak Prescott threw 596 times and had a 68.8% completion
Derek Carr threw 626 times and had a 68.4% completion
Jimmy G threw 441 times and had a 68.3% completion
Tua threw 388 times and had a 67.8% completion
This getting through to you now? Lamar Jackson was ranked 22nd in completion % last year and 27th in 2020. I also didn't just compare him to Daniel Jones, I compared him to players with similar completion % to him and similar pass attempts....all of which are backup QBs. I already pointed out Allen, and here is the point you are continuing to miss: Lamar Jackson doesn't throw a ton, yet his completion % is still outside of the top 15. That's not freakin' good, dude. That shows a sign of accuracy issues - 2019 seems to be an outlier.
