I get why the Cowboys selected Joseph. The talent is evident. But ther were enough concerns about the player that made him a risk. I don’t buy that this kid loves the game. I hope I’m wrong but I expect very little from the player. They will stick with him for the time being.
I don't think the issue is how much he loves it. Its about maturity....some just can't handle this stuff. I don't know if that's him or not yet.

He doesn't play with any urgency. He made a nice play on the ball, but everything else I saw it looked like he was halfassing it. Against backups.

IMHO, Bland and Bell join Diggs, Kearse, Hooker, Brown, and Lewis. Beyond that, they keep Joseph and Wright, for now. Anymore, I’m clueless.

Could be a little of both. He’s such a natural talent. But that will only take him so far. He may not be long for this team, but I do think he’ll be given quite a bit more time to see if he becomes the player they hoped for when they took him in the second round.

Can someone explain to me why we took Joseph instead of Asante Samuel?
Was it just because of height and arm length and not how well they play football?
I'm even more confused now than I was on draft day.

Yes to all of that. It's a shame that we had the chance with either Christian Barramore or Asante than a rapper thug that doesn't care about football.

It was unlikely that any rookie CB would get significant playing time unless one of the 3 veteran starters was injured or if they rested starters (game 17).

It's difficult to discern much from game 17 due to it being a rest the starters scenario.

In his 1st start and only start in need to win game, he allowed a 39.6 QB rating.

He missed the first 6 game with an injury issue, but he was immediately a core special teams player starting with his 1st game active.

FYI, I always appreciate your input here, on the board in general.

Thanks.
