Cowboys 20-17.

We been getting around 20 points or so with Cooper.
Our defense been holding teams to under 20.

Our pass Rush is as good as SF, and secondary is at least as good if not a little better. Or so it seems.
However our run defense is still suspect at times, though they have shown to make some adjustments.
Therefore, I will give some points to LAR until proven otherwise.

LAR defenses not as fierce as it once was.

Our defense holds off a late game drive from LAR for a tie. Keeping them out of FG distance.

Our pass rush is not as good as SF's. Whatever the sack numbers currently say.

The Rams are one of the few teams with less offensive output than the Cowboys. They are ranked 29th and 28th in points and yards respectively. The Cowboys are ranked 26th and 27th in those same categories respectively.

The general opinion, it seems, are that the offense lacks receiver depth due to the loss of Van Jefferson, their #2 receiver last season. They also lost their #3 receiver from last season, Robert Woods, to free agency. Beckum is no longer with the team, as well.

Cooper Kupp and Tyler Higbee are the only viable returning receivers from last season. Their offensive line has had issues due to injuries with very little quality depth.

The Rams offense, this season, is being forced to pay the bills for the talent they acquired last season through free agency and the trade for Stafford. They were unable to reinforce their talent level due to not having a 1st and 2nd pick in the draft. They have turned the ball over twice as much as they did in their first four games of 2021.

Defensively, the Rams are mediocre. They no longer have Von Miller to take attention away from Aaron Donald. Sack numbers are down from 2021. However, this defense is still dangerous and if the Cowboys are going to win then Cooper Rush will have to continue to play mistake free football. Dak Prescott starting is a pipedream.

This would be the right time to play the Rams. However, with that said, the defending SB champions will be playing for their season and the Cowboys have a reputation for rejuvenating struggling seasons. We will know we have a contender if the Cowboys can win this one.

Rams coming off a division whooping. Rush gets rattled and throws his first official pick of the season after having two reversed last week. Cowboys make a late run but come up short.

Rams 23
Cowboys 19

I can see that happening but after week 1, it is amazing we even have a chance or hope of a chance but the Rams really did look dreadful Monday. I have a feeling they'll get up for us. The Rams always seem to dominate the Cowboys.

Rams Oline hasnt been very good. Staffords getting killed and a team that likes to terrorize QBs is coming to town!

Cowboys 24
Rams 20

It depends on who our QB is. With Rush and our D, we win. With Dak, we lose. We don't have a chance to win a single game this year with Dak at the helm.

I got the Rams by 4 or more.

I just checked the poll results and so far, 57% have us losing. I am surprised by this, in the other poll almost half the board wants Rush named the permanent starter but yet an overwhelming majority of fans have already penciled this game in as a loss.

Seems like a contradiction, if Rush is not good enough to beat the good teams then why does so many people want him to be the new starter? Wasn't that the problem with Dak, he would drop 50 on NFC East scrubs and lose to the good teams?

Until we can stop the misdirection runs and the passes that they throw off of it that the Rams have shown us year after year and prove we can hold the edge instead of crashing down hard, I just can't see picking Dallas with a backup QB. Even now with Quinn this team has shown issues holding the edge (see just last week as an example) and with all of our movement up front and aggressiveness on the DL it's something we need to be aware of. Big difference is Goff could run those rollouts a lot better than Stafford could and their OL was a lot better then too, so hopefully this time will be different. Should be a close game

The typical betting line for the bookies ranges from 4.5 points to 5 pts., favoring the Rams. I fear that's a likely outcome, even though my passion for the Cowboys wants us to win. I'm concerned if our offense can keep up with theirs, in LA. We'll learn more about that, late Sunday afternoon. ;)
