It's a pride thing. Small bites. - IF Archer is correct, although until I hear that from the horses mouth, Archer is trying to get a scoop when he is second to report the story.

Garrett has just gotten a load of work taken off his plate. Let's wait and see who is doing what in the booth on game days.

If this is the case then I would expect Callahan to be in the coaches box upstairs as for playcalling even the blog said Garrett may still call the plays.

I don't think you can call it a meaningless title. I mean, you could be right. They could have it set up that way. But there are other teams in the league with the same structure and those positions aren't meaningless.

i guess it depends on how far back you go. do i talk football issues? lord knows i try but they can get lost in JONES SUCKS quickly. then like many, i just get frustrated at not being able to talk about a topic w/o the usual suspects coming in and taking shot after shot after shot and lets be honest, does anyone know what this title means yet?

no. but some people have already made up their minds what it will be about.

and fyi - i argue w/bb a ton less than i used to. just doesn't get anywhere and last time i honestly tried to be specific and instead, i was just attacking him.

i'm definately encouraged that's for sure. now i want to hear more in what capacity they're thinking and who will be responsible for things on any given sunday.

but wow - i never would have thought garrett would do that, so hell. i'm already encouraged even if it's not who others would pick. the fact he picked someone is good enough for me.

As OC I'm sure he will have a big role in putting the game plans together along with Garrett and the play calling that takes place comes out of the game plan that is being put in place. Even if Callahan does call plays as the HC Garrett still will have a major say in the plays that are being called.

If you're an o-coordinator and you're not calling the plays, then to me it's a title-in-name-only. It's like podiatrists calling themselves "doctors." I wish Callahan well, but his phony title is no cause for excitement.
