The Dallas Cowboys announced the hires of Bill Callahan and Jerome Henderson to the coaching staff on Thursday.

Callahan has been named the offensive coordinator/offensive line coach and Henderson is the secondary coach.

oh ok dual roles. Just seems like they threw OC in there. He is just a oline coach prolly lol. (pure speculation on my part)

Wow... Didn't see that coming. But it might be a good thing so that Garrett can focus full time on the team.

That solves that problem. Now Garrett can be a HC first, last, and always.

Good job all the way around. Guess Spags wasn't the best fit for Garrett to have in the house after all.

Not likely. It is just what it says it is. He will likely be calling plays and Garrett, as the HC always does, has the righto veto the call at any time. Just like it always is, just like when Garrett was the OC.

HC and OC decide best approach to the game, OC develops the game plan, runs it by the HC, and the HC allows the OC t do his job. Trust, is a big thing and if Garrett feels the play calling is ever getting one-sided, he will let the OC know.

My guess is Callahan will be responsible for setting up the gameplans during the week but Red will be the one calling the plays.

Either he preferred Callahan or with Callahan he can continue to call the plays.

I bet on the latter.

Yeah. That shouldn't surprise anybody.

All in all, I don't like it. I don't want Callahan's offense on Sunday. I want Garrett's....but with an NFL caliber offensive line.

The Eagles do it too. Or have done it. They flip flop playcalling back and forth so much it's hard to keep track.

i like it. An experienced guy (was headcoach and OC before) to not only help the line but help garrett. Win win I hope.
