The sooner Dez learns to shut his big mouth...the better off he will be. My biggest fear was this guy getting paid...and then becoming uncontrollable....and that is exactly what is happening. Act like a professional.

The sooner you stop posting, the better off we will all be.

Yeah JG is right to distance himself from Dez's behavior. Dez usually acts like a spoiled brat when he doesn't get his way and it will never change.

But consider the dicotomy. Jason is Princeton, cold-stone milktoast and articulate and Dez is Okla. State, a emotional roller coaster and verbally stupid.

With all due respect to Garrett he hasn't had to put up with the media the way Dez has. It's one thing to be criticized for your play on the field, but to have people constantly ripping your character and portraying you as this bad guy, a thug, a diva, etc. that's completely different to me.

There's a reason JG ain't coming at the media.....catches no heat at all.

I think it's worth noting that Garrett did actually take a shot at the media, but did so in a very subtle way when he mentioned the world we live in and then brought up Walter Cronkite. Walter Cronkite was known as one of the most trusted news reporters, who would deliver the story as honestly as he could. When giving his opinion he would make that known as well. People respected his reporting for it's accuracy. Now that might have been lost on half of the people in that room and many who did not listen, but he was making a point for anyone who wanted to actually pay attention.

Here are some relevant Cronkite Quotes:

“I am dumbfounded that there hasn’t been a crackdown with the libel and slander laws on some of these would-be writers and reporters on the Internet.”

“Objective journalism and an opinion column are about as similar as the Bible and a Playboy magazine.”

“In seeking truth you have to get both sides of a story.”

“Our job is only to hold up the mirror – to tell and show the public what has happened.”

This will be ignored. Sorry

lol! So if someone offends you by accusing you of being a thug the proper response is to protest by...acting like a thug?

Yup.

Garrett is getting into the mode of coach where his players are going to stop respecting him for this and they are going to just be there to do their job. Getting upset with Hardy because he used the word 'coming out guns blazing' and saying that the most popular supermodel in the past 20 years is attractive, won't cut it for players. Getting upset with Hardy because he dared put down 'innocent until proven guilty' on his Twitter account won't get over with players.

If there's somebody that needs to keep their mouth shut it's Garrett. If you don't like how the situation is going, control the actual locker room so this nonsense doesn't happen.

Exactly

Maybe he should sit back and realize the team 2-6 and fighting for it's life and the last thing this team needs right now is more distractions related to the problems individuals (Dez, Hardy, etc) have with the media right now.

If they lose to Tampa this thing is over... Allowing JG to focus on coaching and game-planning and not constantly having the police the locker room, deal with heat from the media, and having to constantly have to perform life coaching in private with Dez and Hardy is important this week.

In other-words, this week is not the week for Dez it make it all about Dez.

C'mon.....JG already has enough excuses about his coaching.
