Denver's probably the only real elite defense. Rest are just good defenses. Rams defense isn't bad either.

yeah but we played them and they havent yet, thats the op's points

He said it’s a first place schedule.

This has just been a NFC East schedule at this point. Eagles have played the Chiefs which are a better team than all of them.

First place schedule is so overrated...it’s two games different than the rest of our division.

How does Wade know the offense when this is the first time he faced the Cowboys since the firing?

To me he has to study jist like every other DC because he isnt familiar with the players on offense.

it is still basically the same offense Jason used when Wade was here.

Because what we all want is an offense that can only perform well against bad defenses.

Our fans are as weak as our head coach.

Did you watch the game and see how fast Eli was getting the ball out, there was a reason for it

Eli might have played one of his best games I've ever seen him play yesterday. He was accurate as hell.

We play the Rams D next game, and they aren't slouches. And Wade knows our offense somewhat. This could be a tougher game than most think. Again it may depend on our D getting to Goff and stopping Gurley and the run.

It will be a tough game, but it will be so because of the Ram's offense, not their defense. They gave up 39 points to the 49er's who didn't score a single TD in their first two games.

Its a tough, first place, schedule.
Last year was a last place schedule

2-1 works for me

Its not a first place schedule it is the divisions in the AFC and NFC we are playing. Only 2 games are different between Dallas and Washinton's schedule.

The Rams are really struggling to stop the run, hopefully they can get Zeke going.

It's still a first place schedule. Yes, there are only two games different, but we're still playing the winners of the NFC North and the NFC South. Washington is playing the last place teams in those two divisions. Two games can make a HUGE difference in making the playoffs or staying home in January.

A game ball from last night should go to Rod Marinelli. We were getting carved up by Carson Palmer in the 1st qtr. He kept switching things up til how found something that worked with the 3-man rush which pretty much changed the game. Nice work.

The Giants, Broncos and Cardinals all have a very good chance of finishing in the top 5 in total defense this season. No other team in the league has had such a brutal stretch of defenses to start the year. Getting out of this stretch 2-1 is an accomplishment.

The rest of the way we only play three more games against defenses anywhere near that talented: The Giants (again), the Seahawks and the Chiefs (now without Eric Berry). Moreover we play some decidedly BAD defenses going forward.

We went 13-3 last year because we faced a lot of average to bad defenses who couldn't get their offenses on the field. That's largely what we will see the rest of the way.

There's nothing "wrong" with our offense. Great defenses usually beat great offenses.

I completely agree. To come out 2-1 and take your lumps early will only help. And it looks like it took the coaching staff 2.5 game to realize that they need to use plenty of roll outs and QB option stuff to open up the offense.

The offense has not really changed a lot since he left. We are a bit more run oriented than we used to be. But that's about it.

If Brian Hoyer can put 39 points up on them, they can't be that good.

Their d-line is stout. But they do have holes that can be exploited.

Their back end sucks though

We could end up similar to Philly's D. Our front 7 will be DYNAMIC when Irving and Hitch get back pretty soon. Our secondary is young as hell and a work in progress obviously. I like Lewis, Awuzie and Woods though. Good potential. OScan is solid and Brown is....we'll have to see. Dunno about him yet frankly.

As for our 'wild card' it would have to be Carrol. He has been hurt but we need him to step up and be serviceable at least. Plus, he has a suspension coming if memory serves correct.
