Wow. Interesting. Yeah, I thought Johnson was the heir at LT and they'd just slide him over and upgrade RT next offseason. Curious to see how this plays out. It doesn't sound smart to me.
That's the long range plan. He did play two games at left tackle two years ago and didn't give up a sack.

Eagles will need to implode along with us sweeping them.

Other than that, look to the WC spot. We aren't winning this division.

I wouldn't mind the Egals winning the division, then they'll see what it's like not having a favorable schedule. I doubt very highly they would of beaten GB or Atlanta. Keep in mind, their 2nd,3rd, & 4th games were against teams with a combined record of 3-8. Who have they beaten? Sorry, I'm not on the Wentz wagon. They sure didn't beat KC did they? They won 4 consecutive last year and beat the undefeated Vikings in week 5 if I'm not mistaking. The rest as they say is history. The fans always get excited and then comes that tiny needle that pops their balloon EVERY season since 1933.
The Eagles physically beat the hell out of Atlanta last year and gave them their worst loss. Eagles are a bad matchup for a team like the Falcons, as the Falcons do not do well against big, physical lines.

If Dallas sweeps, then it's a 1 game difference. Hardly requires an "implosion".

You can be that confident that the Cowboys are just going to sweep the Eagles do you? Plus its not that simple since the second game is late in the season. The Cowboys have many holes right now. In my mind there is no way they sweep this Eagle team. Yes no one is saying they are the 70's Steelers but they are playing very well with a QB that is playing at an MVP level. ( just as Dak did last year) So it looks like they are going to be tough to catch. The Cowboys are going to have a hard time with the Skins and the Eagles. This weeks game is huge. Right now the Eagles should be the last thing on anyones mind. The Skins are all we should be focusing on right now

We don't have to sweep them right away. Win the first matchup, keep pace, and hope to pickup one game in the other 7, and it all comes down to week 17.

Anything can happen between the two teams in the next 10 weeks. We're so far from having a clear playoff picture, it's not even worth debating it yet.

However we are close to us not being able to afford losing too many more games. Our schedule is not easy. We have many more tough games. This can be over before you know it. Philly is playing very well. Sure they can slip up but I truly dont see them losing as many games as we will in the next 6 weeks

We are on the wrong side of the equation winning the division. But we can catch them. We just don't have a lot of leeway. They have to do their job too though.

However you cut it, win the first PHI game and hope they drop one more than we do between now and week 17. It's not impossible. They do have the easier schedule. But they also have just taken a couple hits here.

I'm curious to see how we hold up agains the Chiefs offense. That'll tell us a lot about how we'll fare v. PHI here. PHI doesn't have their offensive playmakers, but they're similar systems.

Either way, PHI has the much easier road, but it's only week 7. A lot will change.

...you would have to hope we would win every other game outside of the Eagles as well.

You are being VERY optimistic here.

Winning the same +1 and beating them heads-up. Their SoS so far hasn't been amazing and they are doing worse on injuries now. Really the only concern I have is losing Lee again (or Dak).

losing both your LT and MLB is not something minor. Those slobbering over the Eagles need to think on that.

Johnson is a very good RT that will not make a very good LT. He will be good at that and that is all; Peters was one of the top 10 LTs in football and occasionally top 3. Wentz is going to find out that the hard way. The other possible LT replacements are worse.

By the way for the Wentz slobber types: he stank last season. This season who has he done what against?

Yeah, I won't hold my breath on that................ unless Solomon Thomas or DeForest Buckner kills Wentz this weekend.

The Eagles are ripe for laying an egg. This week is as good of a time as any.

Unless some more injuries, the Eagles will steamroll the 49ers. The Niners have no offense at all and their best weapon is probably Hyde and the Eagles are the #1 run D.

So for a close game, the 49ers D better sack the hell out of Wentz and force a crap ton of turnovers.

Football is so week to week it's hard to say that. The Eagles could easily **** the bed this week in a let down game.

Derwin James, Florida State, Safety. And to think they only had to give up a 5th round pick to jump up from number 32. Have no idea what Philly was thinking trading back that far with all the help that they need after collapsing in 2017 and losing their last 8 games.

Can't go by last year though. Just saying.

Thompson will be a good test for our LBs in pass coverage, too. And Dez on Norman with the bad ribs should be fun. Lots of good stuff this week.

He'll kill our LBs if we let him out of the back field freely. I think he is their leading receiver when it comes to yards.
What I would do is blitz Jaylon or someone else and have them keep Thomson in to block.

With their OL injuries, we'll have better luck trying to sack Cousins than playing coverage against their TEs,WRs, and Thompson. That's pretty much what the EaGirls did by blitzing multiple players.

They probably figured their secondary wasn't good enough to play coverage against the Deadskins receivers and RBs. Counsins is good enough, with time, can pick you apart. He is prone to mistakes when pressured.
