But not unexpected, that's his MO. Same as he is with Garrett. He wants everybody to be happy because unlike other GM's, he hangs around his players too much and wants to be liked. That's why he thinks he can take the liberty of questioning a player's injury status as he did with Barber and Ratliff.

The military has a very strong policy for officers fraternizing with the enlisted personnel for a very good reason and most of the NFL follows those same guidelines. I can tell you from 40 years of management experience, not keeping that objectivity and separation is nothing but trouble.

It's funny you bring up the military, because I was going to bring up Bellichick. He STILL puts out there that there's competition at QB, that he'll play the best player....

Obviously, we all know Brady is going to start and why. But for a team mentality, it's best to put out there that no one's job is safe and you can be cut/traded at any time. His background of growing up on a military base really built hoodie into the man he is today and we may never see another coach like him in any sport.

Always amazes me when supervisors are buddies with employees, just makes for trouble in the workplace.

Makes it worse when you have to sit in while you watch them getting fired - and they look at you like you're childhood friends.

Sorry pal, talking about sports to help get us through the repetition of the day doesn't secure your job.

I just don't see why it's a good idea. I'm a shift supervisor at work myself and I don't be-friend the people I'm in charge of. Makes it that much harder to tell people to do their jobs if they think you might not have authority over them or enforce what you're telling them to do.

This is just silly. This is what he's supposed to say, even if he wanted to trade the guy.

I'd love to hear from the people freaking out on who they would play at QB the rest of this year and in 2019. The answer is that no team in the NFL would give up on Prescott at this point, even if he may not be the long term answer.

This is a very concise explaination of why this team has won two playoff games in the 21st century.

If you think Jerry wouldnt youre crazy. But what is he supposed to say? Jerry doesnt tear players down. He treats his players better than any owner in sports. Thats the greatest quality that ex players love about him. And it goes so deep to a fault for him.

Its a poor analogy. In your 40 years of management experience, did you have employees working under you that made ten times what you did?

What he is supposed to say? My QB sucks bad so this team won't go far, please stop buying tickets and we are a mess?

No owner of any company would do that.
Apple CEO- yeah the new XS is a scam don't buy it, the battery life is bad and you should probably skip this one.

BMW - yeah the connectivity with our Bluetooth sux worse than Ford and our Xdrive is a scam.

KFC - our chicken are genetically messed up, you really shouldn't eat it.

But this is common sense and you guys alread know this.

And no one over the age of 7 believes him.

Yes, but he knows not to put out there that you wouldn't trade a player for high value draft picks. I doubt Kraft would tell his team a player would be extended over a year before the contract is up.

Now, let's see what happens tomorrow. Is it just me or isn't this when something is about to go south? When he glows about something, it has the tendency to dim.

On the lighter side, what do you think Prescott's agent is thinking? 'Yeah, Romo's agent told me about this guy'.
Jerry can't be trusted. He just said Garrett would not be fired and suddenly we're seeing creativity on the field. I think butt chewings and threats are served in private while hubris is served to the public.

How about avoid answering the question, dodge it? How hard is this? Every other owner in the league can, Jerry always needs that silly soundbite. Always.
