Quinn has the potential to be better than any player we'd take in the late rounds. Could have 3-4 quality years left in him.
At minimum he would be par to what we got out of Gregory this. 6 sacks with fairly consistent pressure. If we get that and get similar production from Lawrence on the other side, our edge pressure is in good shape

I do still think you can get a 10 sack season out of Quinn.

At least Ogbah doesn't cost $9 million for his low sack total.

But he would cost a draft pick in a trade, and the team is likely to pay that $9 million to Crawford whether they traded for Ogbah or not anyway.

Lawrence had 8 sacks in his second season. His biggest issue was health, it was never play. Taco isn't getting on the field much because he can't beat out the guys in front of him and he won't beat out Quinn either.
Lawrence would have gotten 10 sacks in 2016 if not for the suspension and back injury.

Future picks lose roughly a round of value per year. A comp pick, being after the end of the traditional round, is viewed as a top pick of the next round. So in this instance, a comp 3rd is actually viewed as a 4th, and the present value 1 round loss of a future pick makes it a 5th.
thank you again..... you are always great at explaining things

I am not happy with it being a 1 year deal. This just means one more contract negotiation to handle next year and we all know they won't have the foresight to get it done early.

Over half the team next year at this point will be free agates.

We're going to trade for him and sign him to a one year deal?

Unless it's a late pick, that is stupidity.
