That's awesome when you find one of those treasures that been missing for a while . My buddy had a Pioneer , good strong saw did the fuel lines on it once . just got my 038 magnum Stihl running needed an Ignition . Dog gone thing had spark but just not hot enough to get it done . Fresh fire and that thing is a beast 72 cc and pretty light compared to my old 045

Got 20 Stihl saws from the little climbing saws to the Biggest logging saws they make all are now running but one 026 that needs an ignition

Got a stump out last week using my echo tree saw a Dewalt cordless Sawzall and the John Deere Tractor of course Plunge cut all the big roots with the echo then Sawzalled to the dirt on each side . Plunged the fork on the JD under the stump and plucked her right out
Whew! When you get the collecting bug ,Man, do you ever get it,you don't fight it,you just roll with it:lmao:
( that's quite the chainsaw collection of 20 same brand products, I think I'd owned 5 browning's booms at one time,ya know what I think would be cool? Would be a progressive collection of chainsaws from like the 40's up, problem is they all got took apart to work on & mostly ended up getting junked, some of them old saws look pretty bizarre, like having an oil bath air cleaner hanging off the side:lmao:)

I'd work for some farmer's when I was a teenager, who'd dynamite blast those stumps outta' the ground, good luck trying to get an operation like that cleared today, Ha, I had a buddy who'd had his explosive handling license, who was from long island, & now, this was back in the early 90's,& we'd gotten a small day gig from an firearms importer we knew, to blast/ fracture the bottom outta' an derelict unused swimming pool on his property over in
Herford AZ.& we had to have a sheriff's deputy on site
( he was totally bored):lmao2:

When I find something I like I tend to go overboard . What do they call it now OCD or some crap . Any how Colt 1911s , Winchester Model 70s and 12s Puma knives , Mitchell 308 fishing reels , Dodge Power Wagons and the saws are my addictions . Forgot motorcycles but that's a whole different story .

Oldest saw I got is from the 60s its a Sears and still runs . Smokes like crazy loud enough to deafen ya and devoid of anything remotely safety oriented . From a time when seat belts were optional LOL
Never worked with explosives and its probably a good thing cause I follow that code of if a little dose a little good a lot will do a lot of good LOLOL

( there's a goodly amount of 'gem' quality aggregate to be cyphered thru in that post of yorn blackRain:thumbup:)

About
Win#12's? ,,,man,I'd ended up having a best bro back in the Midwest that was like a year older than my oldest sister ( she's like 5 years lapped the track on me, calendar wise) dude owned an apple& peach orchard (late frosts killed that peach market perennially, SHEESE! him & me would be up all night tending tire/pallet fires just trying to keep the freeze from killing 100% of that windfall cash crop, Oh-Ya! We'd be boozing it up too, we even tried a honey-wagon full of water one time ,those old orange colored 800-1,000 gal. manure slurry fan/ spraying casing liners, theory being if the water was applied right around the time the temp dropped to below freezing, it would encase the budded blooms to where they wouldn't suffer a 100% kill ratio)anyway, we'd go pheasant hunting together & that long gone wet-brain bass turd could trombone trigger 3 shells into a cock pheasant on the rise, progressively booting it further up in altitude on each shot from a 50 y.o. well worn& used mod#12_before I could even thumb my left hammer back on my dbl bbl for a second shot on my mister bizness bobbed off coach gun I'd favoured back then:lmao2:

Fastest I'd ever saw:starspin:

Why, I'd have to wear my jungle boonie hat to shield my noggin from all the hickory nut hull cuttings them fox squirrel tree rats would be raining down upon me,,,as I'd be forced to injun creep in on stealth silent mode, till I was right up under them bushy tailed nut gnawers, cuz' I had no constriction pattern choke on it, it proved awesomely effective, blowing them straight up offa' there tree limb all unawares, problem was, I'd generally have to run down & put the stomp on thet bewildered, yet unbloodied squirrel that had just gotten rocket blast launched off of it's breakfast perch ya seeo_O

:lmao::lmao2::lmao:

I'd say the first one. The 2nd one started out grest with awesome action, but kinda went downhill from there. The 3rd with Ryan Reynolds and Ms. Biele was pretty bad.

Yea boy love them CYL bore model 12s got 3 of them 2 12s and a 16 but they are tough to come by . Seems like back when those nickel steel ones were made everybody wanted full choke my guess is those old cardboard shells didn't have a wad cup to tighten um up so they need a tighter choke .
No disconnect on a model 12 hold the trigger down and they will go off as fast as you can pump it.

870 will last a lifetime model 12s last forever just pull the trigger groups out of both and look at the milled steel parts on the 12 compared to the stamped parts on the 870
Best thing about them 12s is they fit me perfect and shoot where im lookin . Had an expensive Browning upland special over under that almost made the dog mutiny on me then an old man gave me an old beat up 12 to try and my wing shooting changed forever .

I got a 39a and that's my squirrel tool open sights makes it a real challenge now that I cant see worth a spit.

Picked up a WWll trench knife last week for $40 bucks had New Guinea 1944 and Philippines 1945 written on it . was dull as a butter knife must have opened a lot of cans but it sharpened up like a razor

Any remnants of a sheath/holster?
Or manufacturer's marks?

* I've happened to come across & retain a couple of those original wartime production folding bolo machete's that were part of a bomber crews 'group' survival kit( the first one I'd ever seen was as a kid & the geologist on the drilling rig had been a navigator on a B-24(I faintly recall him saying it was a Liberator) who'd showed me one he'd snagged as a momento from his service,,, he'd told me to take a long look at it,as I'd probably never see another one of them in my life),,, Ha ! there were three different outfits contracted to produce them,I've got one of each of two out of those three,I'd sure love to score that elusive third manufacturers stamped model ,as I think it'd be a pretty cool, although kinda' meaningless completed collection

Has original sheath in good condition somebody disked off the manufacture stamp . Hate when they do that like the people who file off US property on 1911s

Gerber LMF Serrated Drop Point for an all purpose knife. I love the Gerber Silver Trident Drop Point, double serrated. For doing the real dirty work in close quarters, I like the Gerber Mark II Dagger, double serrated. Mark II is not a hunting or survival knife. This knife is strictly designed for wet work. Skinning Knife, I like Victoronix. If your looking for something a little more low profile, a Gerber Applegate is nice. If you are looking for a small pocket knife, can't go wrong with a Gerber Paul Knife.

Myself, I carry a Gerber Bird Knife as a pocket knife. Handy, useful, durable, keeps a nice edge.

Well fellers, I've finally broke down
(in expending the effort of researching/ locating& e-bay buying of an 'case' manufactured U.S.Army Air Corps folding bolo survival knife,,,Whew!)
As once I'd motivated myself into cracking open a liberty gun safe I'd not been into in damn near a year,,,as I was sweating that combination lock work for about 20 minutes,,, as all I recalled of those triple 2 digits sequence. was relating it to the physical body measurements of my then current lady squeeze at the time of buying that gun safe, and digging out those other two company manufactured folding bolos,,,the internet tells me there was 3 outfits contracted who'd stamped/slapped them together during the war effort,,,so, verifying that I currently held in my possession a
1) camillus
2)cattaraugus(it being minus the stamped sheet steel protective blade edge cover)
3)I'd located an 'case' manufactured one on E-bay for $139.95 with the issued sheet steel protective blade edge cover,,,and ordered it,,, sez' it'll prolly be slung over my fence & laying out in my yard by around July 16th,,,should anyone be reading this and interested enough in this "virtual endeavor" I've undertaken,,,er,,,and I've not chimed in about receiving my pre-paid purchased item, remind me ,will'ya? as I could quite possibily forget what I've done by then,,,o_O
