I like Jarwin and I don't need a sports reporter to tell me he is much faster than Witten at this point. But he hasn't shown one tenth of the route adjustments that Witten has made a career of and the day they put Witten in an Senior Citizen home - he will still be a better blocker than Jarwin is today.

Beat me to it......put both in a live game situation and see who dissect the D faster and be where he suppose to be.
There it is, what put Witten on the map and I'd bet he still has that. His ability to read and react is as good as any TE in the game and the real reason he and Prescott connected so easily and quickly.

Posters have been wanting an Ertz or Kelce TE and there aren't a lot of those guys around and he doesn't have to be that guy for this offense to click.

Jarwin should dig out the jay novacek TE tapes and study the heck out of them if witten shares no tricks of the trade.

Novacek actually more jarwins type of play and blocking size....could learn alot

And Benett is a Superbowl Champion. What does Witten have?
Being a lifelong Cowboy, exactly what chance did he have at the SB? And please don't try to claim Bennett contributed even a fraction to NE of what Witten did for Dallas.

I'm actually pulling for both Jarwin & Schultz, but your constant insults of Witten are more irritating than funny.

G Bag and Fish both reported that Jarwin has looked superior to Witten. They said it's no contest. Does JG pull the old war horse for the young superior talent?
Last yr, Jarwin finished the season strong. But it was only a few games. Let's wait for the 3rd preseason game

The disrespect being shown on here for JW is ridiculous, but par for the course here.
And unfortunately ,the problem with the continually constant chiselling away at his( or any players) character & integrity for the game, eventually weakens ones resolve ( and thats of the fans made of industrial strength fandom) as it can quickly jump to infectious spread rates of a quarantine level
( ,,,er,,,to those fans in the "less than sterner stuff" fandom category)

I made prediction a few months ago and am sticking to it. Witten retires in training camp.
I think he would retire if Witten learns late in camp that he'll ride the bench. That old guy is here to play, not be a pitiful has-been on the sidelines.

No reason to bring Witten back. Well, I think the only reason they did it for is possibly a locker room leader? I don't know. Makes no sense to bring him back.

I heard the same thing on The Fan today. As much as it pains me, because Witt is my favorite Cowboy ever, even he would be ok with what’s best for the team. If Jarwin is better, so be it, I’m sure Witt’s mentoring is invaluable.

Legend Witten will only add value to this team period.

Witt is still better in his old age than the TEs we got ...

That says a lot of our talent at TE
