Comments like that aren't going to make Zeke want to power through a sore knee injury, 'Zeke Who can't go today coach'

This is your stance? So knowing his shelf life it’s crazy for him to ask for a new contract considering he’s out performed his rookie one? Dude is being run into the ground looking to secure his future. Get off your stupid high horse and take your own advice and shut up.
First off, he's getting $9 million this year, so let's not act like he's not getting nicely paid. One of the top paid backs in the league.

Secondly, practice reading comprehension. Jerry made a joke, and the agent is all butthurt. That is what I was commenting on.

There are two years left on the big deal he already has in a league that doesn't respect his position. He needs to lose the sensitive feelings.

So tired of this already and the season isn't even started yet. Jerry, please keep your yap shut and Zeke, you are under contract. Get your rear into camp like the rest of the guys and start working.

Zeke wants to negotiate with 3 (possible) years of contract left.
2 signed, plus 1 tag . ..

Not Smart.

Depends on how great your performance is and how much money you make your boss. I hope he gets paid he deserves it.

There is a right way to do things and a wrong way to do things.

If I think I deserve a pay raise, I go to my boss and explain to him why I think I deserve a pay raise and we discuss it like men. Guess what? While we are negotiating my new pay raise, I keep showing up for work!!! I dont tell my boss, "I'm catching the first plane to Cabo and you let me know when you want to sign on the dotted line".

Exactly and Zeke has no reason to get butt hurt since he’s holding the team hostage while under contract. Give me a break Zeke.
Exactly right. JJ said he was joking and Pollards production was a nice addition to Elliot. He said it twice.

I get what you're saying, but most of us would get fired if we did what Zeke's doing. Notice that he's not been fired, or even fined.

It's interesting because I keep reading on this board that he has no leverage. Obviously, he has some. That will either go up or down depending on how things go when real games start, which appears to be where this impasse is heading.

Per Mort at :espn:

Funny that his agent is claiming that he's still in Los Cabos. Did he fly back already?

and going to cabo is what? yes, he flew back yesterday. after the comment i can understand that, but to claim "no respect" while they're not respecting the contract he signed?

more bs wordsmithing games.

On the surface, it certainly seems disrespectful and in bad taste...BUT, I am going to defend Jerry Jones here (something I rarely do). It is more I am sure that Zeke did not find the joke funny, but I imagine, like the fans, Jones does not find it funny that this guy is holding out with two years left on his contract. Which is more disrespectful?

Zeke's agent is trying to force contact with Jerry because he knows it isn't going the way he wants it to.

The word respect has no place in any of this. Elliott made a business decision not to show up for what he was going to get paid.

If he had only one year left on that contract, is that more respectful?

This is all about money, this sport is all about money, that is the only thing that matters or any of them care about. They all respect money.
Isn't greed just wonderful. Both sides playing tug-of-war. Who is going to end up in the mud? Most likely the fan.

Elliott's a knucklehead. Make no mistake about that. Elliot sometimes is an embarrassment . Everything I said is actually true. Whether you like to hear it or not. You don't think his suspension cost us games. Come on are you that tunnel vision maybe it's you that shouldn't post until you can read and comprehend
How about you actually read what you said. During his suspension yes. You are saying he costed us games when he was on the field which is nonsense. Our coach has costed us far more games than Zeke and Dak combined. So please stop.

Stuck his neck out? Please.. What did Jerry have to lose other than watching his team get blown out by good teams and flounder against mediocrity. Jerry wanted to win..
He went toe to toe with Goodell and paid millions in fines. On top of watching his team not get a single holding call for 9 straight games.
