WHAT KICKERS are available? BTW...in next years draft, I would love to draft the Georgia kicker. He is very good. Blankenship.

Why does the term "snake oil" come to mind when I read quotes from one of the Joneses? Its like that scene from Josey Wales where the guy is trying to sell some kind of liquor as a cure-all tonic. Sure could use more of that right now.
Even reading something from the Jones.....I check to make sure I still have my wallet.

The fact that Maher still has a job just shows how there’s no accountability in this organization
I'm assuming not much is available. I think already multiple teams have let their kickers go this year and signed guys off the street. And even some guys struggling like Vinaetari still have jobs.

  • COO Stephen Jones says the fans have every right to be disappointed with how they played yesterday.
  • "We got a lot of confidence that we have a really good football team here, we just have to clean some things up,"
  • "We're very fortunate to have Dak. We're going to win a lot of games with him. We just had some unfortunate things happen (in yesterday's loss)."
  • Stephen Jones says they aren't considering making any moves on special teams in regards to punter Chris Jones and kicker Brett Maher.
  • Is Garrett on the hot-seat? "Absolutely not. He's done a great job with this team. He had the guys playing hard when it could have gotten really ugly," Stephen Jones.
  • Stephen Jones to the fans who are upset: "Just hang in there with us. I really believe we're going to correct these things to be really more consistent. I feel like the best is yet to come."

Like father, like son! Nothing like pumping sunshine after a pathetic defeat. A true snake oil salesman's son! Jerry must be proud.

Maybe, but it's all just "owner-speak" anymore. Is anyone really listening to what Jerry or Stephen say anymore? They have lost all credibility. When Jerry talks about Dak reminding him of Tom Brady, it makes my ears bleed. The Stephen era will be the same guys. Only difference is that Stephen will put the same crap on the field for less money. If the Jones' haven't learned in 23+ years that you need REAL football people to run your team, they never will. They back up the money truck to the players, who then don't produce, but they save money by not hiring a real GM...Makes sense, right?
ksadler---it drives me nuts...i cant even think about it or i get frustrated

Who would you have drafted?

I strongly feel King Kong would surely make an excellent DT, far more efficient than our 3-tech lightweights!

Of course, the strewn body parts of the NFL East opposition could most definitely get quite messy, however! :muttley:

nothing about how they are going to stop the run,They got destroyed by the Rams and did nothing. This Fo is as delusional as the defensive coordinator..
This was one of the most loaded DT classes in the free agency for the entire 2000s and they literally did nothing but drafted a 2nd round project and said "we like are guys" while they have currently over 25 million dollars in unused cap......

I don't know the front office can be this delusional. This whole "where gonna outdraft everyone and that's it" isn't how you build SB contenders.
