Thank God! We need continuity for another decade! We may not win ****, but at least we compete, and of course, #FIGHT! #WE DO!Jason Garrett is Marvin Lewis reincarnate
How do you "know" this?I also know that Jerry was on record saying they were going to extend him until Stephen came out and basically pumped the brakes on that.
Okay. So what would your honest reaction be to Garrett getting a new contract?Your opinion is duly noted. But that's exactly what it is. Your opinion. Just like those held by everyone else.
That's as far as he can take a team. Ten years as head coach, with nothing to show for it is plentiful evidence to see that. Having a good season, and perhaps a 13-3 record is not good enough. It's about championships, Lombardi's, Super Bowl wins.Garrett's ceiling was not getting in the way while peak form Zeke and rookie sensation Dak guided us to 13-3 in 2016.
Are you sure dear? I thought that was the game Garrett sat Zeke and in doing so, Zeke was unable to break arrogant Dickerson's record.Yep a winning record only because Garrett played the starters the whole game in that 6-0 victory over Philly backups in the finale in 2017.
You have a winning record for the fourth straight year. He’ll be the guy in 2020, if only on a 1 year extension

I don't think that was that year. This was the year Zeke came back from his suspension. Are you sure dear? I thought that was the game Garrett sat Zeke and in doing so, Zeke was unable to break arrogant Dickerson's record.

Mickey Spagnola said it was better than any of the five Super Bowl wins. Mike Fisher called it a statement win for Garrett. That was such an impressive win too, right? Homers here were pounding their chests for 2 weeks straight because of that outstanding win.
I appreciate your answer. I'm not here to argue. I just what folks to know the truth. I don't think Garrett has what it takes to get this team to the playoffs this season but JJ is still going to reward him with a new contract. It gets me pissed off and it should get you pissed off too. Garrett is like a son to JJ and a brother to Stephen. The relationship between the Jones family and the Garrett family goes back a long way, starting when Jason's father Jim served as a scout for the Cowboys before Jerry bought the team until 2004. It's no coincidence that all three of Jim Garrett's son played for the Cowboys at one time or another and Judd Garrett(Jason's brother) is currently the Director of Pro Scouting for the Cowboys. Nepotism runs deep with how the Cowboys are run but JJ doesn't care. Jason Garrett is just another son that he isn't going to fire until the team has several losing seasons. I'm sorry to be the one to deliver the bad news but someone has to do it.It wòuldnt be my first choice, but I feel the man took this team to the NFC Championship Game he will have earned it. And I would accept that. I've only asked that he be held accountable, and that goes both ways, good and bad, wins and losses. If he wins, he's earned the extension and the right to stay. If he's hasn't, he hasn't.
Tex was on the verge of bankruptcy and the franchise was on the verge of collapsing, say what you want about JJ, he saved this franchise!I disagree, fans are most powerful than anything for a sports franchise, if revenue drops by 10% and franchise value drops by 500 million, Jerry will listen to us. Unfortunately what Tex built in, we are all suckers for the inferior product Jerry is producing and still buying watching cowboys
