Who else is numb and really doesn't even care after the last two weeks?

You literally took the words out of my mouth. I wouldn't say it was the Saints game that did it. It was Sunday. Since training camp started I was pumped! I was on here multiple times a day, I read all the articles, listened to the shows and now? I haven't hardly been on here all week. I haven't read anything about the Jets game. I'm still a fan, I'm just like you I don't care as much right now. It's kind of like when we were 3-5. Don't get me wrong, I know we weren't going 16-0. But to lose the way they did against Green Bay and act like everything is okay. I'm serious-if Jason Garrett gets an extension I'm done. I'll watch the games but that's about it. I know it sounds silly but I kind of needed a break from the Cowboys. Things aren't always as bad or as good as they seem. It also didn't help that the Cardinals had some big games this week in baseball so I directed my attention towards that!

You are precisely why I made my post, misery loves company I guess, but seriously, the cowboys are an enigma in itself to be sure. They did play three bad teams, but they beat them in a way that past cowboys teams wouldn't of so that gave false hope I'm afraid. I think we always have to remind ourselves that Jerry is still our general manage and Garrett is still the head coach. That right there is 2 strikes right? If the refs call a bad game, or we throw a couple of untimely interceptions against quality teams we're done, we're sunk game over.

I have been over Garrett for many years now and I always tell myself there is a chance we can win in-spite of him if we get on a roll, but I can't kid myself any longer, we have no chance of getting to a superbowl as long as Jerry is our general manager.. I know it sounds like I'm not rolling here, but the fact of the matter is, Garrett has outlived his 9 lives already and he aint getting it done. It's such a shame that Jerry doesn't at least try and appease the fans and hire another coach.. I do believe that if Jerry got the right coach we would at least have a chance possibly but we are severely limited with him at the helm, he seemingly does nothing at all.

My theoretical insight on this goes something like this. So you go to your favorite restaurant, burger joint etc, as usual, you order your favorite from the menu, say juicy burger, loaded, cheese, bacon, peppers, grilled onion, you get your order, pay and walk out or drive out, get home only to find once again they didn't give you that delicious burger, instead you got a s*** sandwich. But, like the good sport you are, you won't let them drive you away, oh no, instead you keep returning, placing the same order and receiving the same crap sandwich. It's called being a glutton for punishment, that's us, all of us here on these forums, we are some kind of special jerry's kids, I tell ya!

My sentiment towards this football team has evolved over time. I used to get upset after every loss to the point that it would ruin my week. 20+ years of mediocrity on the field while the owner's fortune continues to rise made me realize that in no way shape or form do I directly benefit from the Cowboys performance. So why get upset?

I am at work and I usually just read these without logging in, but your post states exactly how I feel and I had to let you know.

Thanks Jerry!

The last two weeks?

For me personally I had to just walk away from all the media and anticipation for upcoming games.
There is no way I could ever have seen winning the first three games in the fashion we did and then
laying a turd in the bed two weeks in a row in the fashion we did. It defies logic quite honestly
and at this point I;m just numb and unattached comparatively to how I was after going 3-0.

The ups and downs are too much take with this team. Just when you think they have one side of the ball figured out something happens on the other side that leaves you scratching your head. It wouldn't be so bad if it hasn't been 20 plus years of horrible luck, but now it's bordering on insanity.

I'm just wondering who else has gone a bit numb? It's kind of like self protection/preservation is kicking in.. Thanks Jerrah..

I’ve stuck with this team 50 years and some here are ready to quit caring this season after the last 2 games?

If you’re that convinced and that miserable watching, why bother? Start tuning in again if and when they get a new coach.

I'm the opposite of miserable in my personal life.

Just a skeptical pessimistic Cowboys team follower and will encontinue to enjoy all this glory every Sunday.

Bottom line is this defense was NEVER championship caliber. It was an average defense that over achieved last year.

On offense, the team goes as the Oline goes. Injuries mounting.

Then we have the age old issue of bad coaching at the top. Garrett alone will lose 3 or 4 games a year for us.

"Defies logic" is a great way of putting it because you would think even a bad organization would "luck" into at least one NFCCG in 20+ years. This franchise almost feels cursed.

I think I got suckered into to thinking because this was Garrett's "POSSIBLE" last season to coach this team we might actually have a chance with some new coaching philosophies breathing life into the team. The issue I see is even with Moore doing a better job with adjustments on the offensive side of the ball it's not enough to overcome the overall dysfunction internally.

The league has already figured out Moore. It is to the point where NO and GB knew what Dak would audible to if they showed him a certain defensive alignment. Our offense is literally being manipulated by opposing DC's. It is not all Moore's fault. He's working within the confines of Garret's offense............the same stale, predictable offense Ray Lewis and Ed Reed laughed at back in 2009 as they were ushering Dallas out of Texas Stadium.

If that's the case ........ Then why did you take the time to start a thread telling everybody you don't care ?

I mean if you really don't care ....... Then see ya next year.

Good question- I'm sad that I've gotten to a state of mind that is very numb toward the team I love and I wanted to see if the current affairs have had a similar effect on anyone else. Come to find out they have and almost identical to what has happened to me. We all have different reasons for posting and I can say without hesitation that a weight has been lifted off of me personally.... Those last two loses after the way we stared was the straw that broke the camels back for me.

My love for this team and the NFL has been fading for the last 5 years. This franchise lives off its past glory. They have been average to below average for over 20 years.

The Cowboys put up 563 yards of offense, about 230 more yards than the Packers did, and your take is the league has Moore all figured out?

Turnovers and penalties were what held down the scoring, not the scheme, play designs or play calling.
