Yep, QB's are a dime a dozen. Just grab one from the old first round. Maybe trade a bunch of players to move up. Hell let's outdo the Commanders and move up in the draft by giving up 4 first rounders. This way Dan Snyder won't have all the glory for being a *******.
Average QB are a dime a dozen.
What do you think we have under center?
And this is what America's team has fallen to.
Sorry bud after Roger, Troy, White, Romo, I expect more than average esp at QB.
Maybe it's just me I sincerely hope not!

Scenario #1. Both Garrett and Dak are axed come the spring.

Scenario #2. Garrett stays while Cowboys move up in the draft for there new Franchise QB prospect.

Let's be honest here most of our team's woes stem from lack of QB play and scoring!

Yes, Garrett is not perfect and probably has overstayed his welcome but over-all he seems like a qualified coach who will have a new gig once he is let go.

Don't kid yourselves, boys and girls, Jerry thought he had found Romo's replacement with a 4 th comp pick and he cannot hold Garrett responsible for his massive mistake here.

Anyway, I have rarely been wrong here in these wonderful forums so expect a very intense spring full of lots of surprises.....
I will give you this much these final 4 games will probably determine the Dak era. It makes no since to make Eagles and Rams mistake that will hold their teams hostage forever.

  • Average QB are a dime a dozen. - Remarkable insight, how do you do it?
  • What do you think we have under center? - A young QB who is still learning his craft?
  • And this is what America's team has fallen to - yea because before Dak Prescott was drafted this team was just setting the standard of excellence with Romo and what came between him and Troy. LOL, our QB's after Troy included such amazing talent as Drew Henson, Chad Hutchinson, Quincy Carter, Tony Banks, Brandon Weeden, Matt Cassel, Vinny Testaverde, Drew Bledsoe etc. But yea nothing screams quality QB play like that list.
  • Sorry bud after Roger, Troy, White, Romo, I expect more than average esp at QB. - Well then you certainly must have lost your mind in the Campo years.
  • Maybe it's just me I sincerely hope not! - It's mostly you..

Dude you honestly have to be writing this post for shock value right? I mean, nothing you said makes any sense, and the only scenarios you gave us sound like they we're dreamed up by someone tripping on acid..

For one thing Garrett is dead man walking so he isn't getting extended, not sure what rock you're living under but it's quite all encompassing.. Also, in case you didn't notice Dak is one of the top Qb's in the league.. Why don't you try throwing out some realistic scenarios like whom will likely be our coach and how much rope will Jerry give em..

Did I miss his new deal?
And unless you're Dak-Blind its pretty evident he has massive problems against teams with good defenses.

P.S. Unless its Garbage time.

So when Dallas loses to a good team it’s Dak’s fault? When they go down 14-0 and sleep walk through the first quarter that’s Dak. When they get repeatedly gashed in the running game that’s Dak. Special teams screw ups Dak too. All the missed tackles that’s Dak. The FG misses - Dak. Look at the guy’s record since he got in the league. He is a winner despite the terrible coaching. Statistically he is one of the best in the league so it’s not garbage time.

Please try not to be biased.

Also where were you Dak haters a couple weeks ago?

JG gone and Dak signed. New HC will be happy to have him. Maybe new DC and OC, or Moore stays. I just don’t know if JJ will let the new guy pick his own coordinators.

In order for this to happen, Dak would need to be paid a loads of money. Most new HCs will bring in their own choice of QB.

I said it during this past offseason and I still think it will happen - Garrett & Daks fate is intertwined. They either both go or both get extended.

It’s hard to expect Dak to be gone. He is above average and we get nothing for him. He will go to another team and we will be stuck with selling out the draft and players to move up to get a unproven player and hope he is better. And if he is it will take a few years to develop. JJ is about winning now.

But I am not saying that your scenario is out of reason. It could happen.

Even if you don't want Dak long term, you still use the Franchise tag on him and trade him for a bundle.

Couple scenarios are possible. New coach could possibly get Dakota over the hump as in beating defenses not in the bottom 15 of the NFL and that would be the BEST case scenario in terms of time. Of course there is still the little subject of Dak salary

2nd option would be new coach who gets to pick his own Qb and that could be a lengthy deal, but the defense and ST’s may need time to get shored up anyway.

First thing is to get a new coach and a winning philosophy started. The Dakota issue has to-be decided soon.

Unlike most people, I appreciate your posts. We need a little pessimism to counter the overwhelming optimism. But I'm not quite as bummed out by Dak as you are. Don't get me wrong, I do not think he should get a 30+ million dollar a year contract, but I don't necessarily think he's the problem right now either. Was Tony Romo the problem in 2010 when the players quit on Wade? No. Nor do I think Dak is the problem now. I say either franchise or transition tag dak for a year and replace this coach. See how it turns out before breaking the bank. If we're 8-8 with Dak, we can be 8-8 without him.

What are they going to do if they let Prescott walk? Trade up and sacrifice this draft when they need a lot more than a QB. We don't even know which of the players up after this season will be retained or let walk necessitating draft effect or FA.

In hiring a new HC, I doubt Booger does not have making Prescott a Tier 1 QB as requirement 1 of the job. Unless he hires someone who's opinion he respects and will honor if he tells Booger that Prescott is as good as he's going to get and either accept that or start over.

I do not think Garrett was instrumental in picking Prescott or on board with keeping him in when Romo got healthy. I don't think Linehan was either and one of the reasons he is gone and Prescott's choice, Moore, is in.

Any HC considered a QB guru is going to be in demand in WAS and NYG as they need that as well. There aren't that many cats around with that pedigree.

One thing I would consider doing if I drafted Joe Burrow, bring Joe Brady in as OC.
