No.......now saying Jerry made Joe look great is like saying Emmit's offensive line made him look great.

You can say it both ways.

So instead of playing that game you should just go off of what they did and not who they played with like we do for Jerry Rice and for some reason we don't do for Emmitt Smith.

I am going by what they did. Barry was GREAT on the field.

I have honestly never seen a more magical runner than Barry Sanders. I would watch the Lions at times simply to see him go and man did always seem to break that one amazing play each game. But the Dallas Cowboys would not have been able to do what they did with Barry Sanders. Barry was not always willing to accept two yard gains and it sometimes resulted in five yard losses. Emmitt knew that two yards in the second quarter would turn into five or seven yards in the fourth and that is why Dallas was so good. He was superior to Barry at running between the tackles and far, far superior as a blocker to keep Aikman upright. Teams would key on Barry on the fourth and could shut the Lions down, but they could not do a thing about Emmitt because they were worn out.

The Cowboys were in decline from like 1996 on. Their OL rotted away and got Aikman killed... but Emmitt kept racking up elite seasons when his career should have been burning out from old age.

1999 he's 30 and the team stunk hand he still had >1,500 yards from scrimmage and 13 TDs. Meanwhile Aikman couldn't hit 3,000 yards or 7 yards/attempt, and Garrett had to start 2 games where he completed 50% of his passes for <5 ypa.

Spot on!! Even Warren Sapp said that he feared Emmitt more than he did Barry.........and he played in the same division as Barry.
