MM was the reason Amari was let go...McCarthy. Not Dak like a lot of people here said. I'm glad we moved on.

I listened to it at 2X speed and while I was not expecting anything shocking, the whole "just wait until Thursday" message was nothing more than a promotional campaign as he openly admitted at the start of the segement that it was not going to be anything big.

I was thinking maybe we would learn one or two new tidbits of information but even the little things he mentioned that made you think, "Hey, this may be something new" included a lot of qualifying or disclaimer-based wording.

In the end, it sounded like a segment any Cowboys fan could have made by simply repeating all of the speculated-enough-in-the-media-to-become-fact rumors over the last 5 years.

For example, he mentioned how it bothered McCarthy that people like Moore, Quinn, Zimmer, etc. were positioned to easily take over for him. Well, duh! If your boss at work ever said, "John could be a great leader here" and you are John's boss, it would probably bother you as well.

He said Moore wanted more control over the offense. McCarthy, an offensive coach and the head coach, wanted more say in offensive schemes. Again .. DUH!

The whole "Amari was a bad influence in the locker room" speculation story was published publicly many times after his departure.

This whole segment just seems like a pin-the-blame-on-someone-other-than-Jerry-so-he-will-like-us-again reputation repairing campaign.
I don't understand the line of thinking that he's carrying water for the FO. Bobby has been highly critical of Jerry throughout the season. If anything, it's Bobby protecting his boy Dak.

Exactly. Just finished listening, and the entire thing was a huge nothingburger. For instance, saying that Mike as HC wanted input into the offense, and Belt claiming Mike was in the wrong because he knew what he was buying into, as if Moore should have a total blank check to do anything he wants with zero input into the offense? Come on. That would happen with any coach.

I mean, Belt actually suggested those 12-5 teams were held back by McCarthy. I guess in Belt's brain, those teams should have gone 17-0 if not for Mike.

If those stories are the most he has after five years of Jerry's circus, to me that's a plus for Mike, not a negative.

I think it's because Jerry got really upset with them a few weeks ago and now that McCarthy is gone, this is a way for the station to gain some brownie points with Jerry because he was very upset with them back then.

He's obviously a huge Dak fanboy. Just today, he acted like any minor disagreement between Dak and Mike was 100% Mike's fault. As if the HC who has coached QBs much better than Dak should just give this QB a blank check to do anything and everything he wants with zero feedback or correction.

I think it comes off as defending Jerry in saying Mike should never have the slightest problem with Jerry hiring coaches for Mike, or firing people Mike wanted (like Rob Davis). I mean, just because Mike signed a contract to coach here doesn't mean he should never bristle at Jerry's screwed up management.

Plus I suspect a lot of Belt's being critical of Jerry comes down to Jerry's employing Mike in the first place. Belt seems to think all we have to do is turn 100% of the offense over to Dak and we'd be golden.

They are pushing the FO narrative because MM said no. If you believe anything that troll Bobby Belt says you’ve been sucked by the FO.
OK, I get that Bobby is a Dak-stan. But I'm not local to Dallas so I don't understand...why the hate on him? He seems to be a decent source of info that is plugged in.

Good synopsis, it was much to do about nothing. It's the same crap every office and work environment experiences. People working together will always have moments of friction.

There may be more I just wanted to get the thread started, but if this is all, what a waste of time

I never guessed time was a consideration when you post. Lol.

Na man, I dunno I'd imagine there are some truths in there, but I don't know how much it's exaggerated or embellished.

Everything that was said is true. It’s things we’ve all heard before. Nothing earth shattering. MM has always been labeled as a crap leader and that’s exactly what Belt described him as. People in here trying to pretend like MM is better than he is. He’s not. He’s crap. And that’s been well known.
