that’s what you call an anomaly in Dak’s career. And most of them were really a product of Moore’s play-calling as they were short quick hitters in the middle. Even here you got 5 of those passed behind the LOS.

That being said, the throw on 3rd and 30 was a gift, because their CB let Hilton or whatever his name is run right by him, otherwise the game was over.
It's an anomaly is ALL NFL QBs careers if they did what Prescott did!!

But Dak Haters history began the day Haters discovered Goal Post Shifting

The receivers are such a big part of beating zone coverage. This is where CeeDee has to run underneath the safety, receivers need to get to spots, and the receivers have to catch the ball instead of batting it to the defenders. But at the same time, Dak needs to be accurate because those passes he sails over the heads of his receivers will be INTs. So will those sideline passes that he throws inside the receivers.

I think zones make it easier for Dak to read, but for some reasons Dallas's receivers seem to struggle with them.

I'm always fascinated at how many people don't understand that in the modern NFL teams don't just break the huddle and have already pre-set routes to run. Nearly every play involves "option routes" and depend on the receiver and the QB to see the coverage the same way. When they don't you get those "miscommunications" which often lead to head scratching INTs. It is what it is and it's not going to change. Unfortunately for Dak and the Cowboys they've had more than their share of batted INTs this year. I really think that all goes away every year and we get back to not seeing more than a couple of those a year. I also think As Lamb matures into the #1 receiver role he will make fewer bad decisions when running those in cuts. Three of Dak's interceptions this year have been because he "trusted" CeeDee to get to a spot and he didn't. Same with Gallup.. Gallup is usually pretty good about bodying up a DB and not giving up inside position but he has been compromised this year and he has lost that position battle on a couple of INTs. I firmly believe those things will return to normal next season and Dak will go back to throwing 9-11 INTs all year.

As for the zone thing.. A number of experts have stated that the Cowboys offense is poorly designed for zone coverages. They said that the routes end up in the same spot too many times and where they end up are predictable based off the coverage. Moore and Dak need to have tendency busters at the ready for these playoffs. But the main thing is Dak has to stay patient and keep matriculating the ball down the field. There is nothing wrong with a few 7-8 yard completions that keep the chains moving. Way better than heaving it deep on 3rd and 6 and punting.

Our WR need to run better routes, stop being lazy, and fight for the ball all the time. I can easy say more than half the ints wasn't on him.

Maybe zone is his weakness but he also loses site of the coverage, Tenn game both INTs were almost the similar depth routes to the TE yes one was a bobble that was intercepted but the other the should not have been thrown. Against Wash he threw a lazy pass on a out breaking route to a guy that seemed locked in on his timing. But many of his passes are throws that he should not have made.

.....then perhaps we need a WR "sit down" in the zone, a time or two.

I suspect Tampa will be running zone defense at a higher clip than 63% of the time Monday night.
lets see...mathematically speaking. the league played 71% of the time in zone. 11/15 is about 73%. so mathematically you expect to have similar stats in zone vs. man.
if you really wanted to show you know football, then you would examine the defensive alignment for each interception and then make a claim.
but I get it, you are a bottom line stat guys, as you get lost in the details.

go TMZ....

now, you want to change your argument, why so many interceptions. then yeah, perhaps you have something here, but this one just doesn't make sense.

Does it really matter what Tampa's defense does?
The reality is we need to run the ball and have our defense have at least 2-3 T/O or we are losing.
This QB cannot......repeat......CANNOT carry this team when it counts!!!!
God's speed to #21 and #20#11#7 as we will go as far as they take us tonight!!!!
