I had a friend who's a Packers fan tell me what a great game that was. Ya it's a great game if you're a Packers fan. That game sucked. The officiating hosed the Cowboys. The Packers didn't get called for one holding penalty. We all seen what happened to Irving. We get called out for being horrible fans. Lets see how good Packers fans would be if they got penalized for the same penalties the Cowboys did. Call me a sore loser, I don't care. I can't stand any of the teams left. Patriots and Steelers. Makes me wanna puke. I'm already burnt out on hearing how great Rodgers is. It's nice that the officials love him as much as that tool Steven A does. In fact, I wish Steven A would go visit him so they can hug and make out. I can't stomach Matt Ryan either. I know I'm being a little ridiculous. How many more years do we have to wait to see the Cowboys MAKE it to an NFC Championship game? We've all seen this before. Playoffs one year and take an absolute nosedive the following season.

Those days are over. This teams built for a long run.

As for the calls that absolutely contributed greatly to our loss. They're here to stay. We just have to be totally dominant like the 90's. A couple of good moves, some maturation, and Jalen and the D will be close. Offense is there now.

More importantly, if you review the video, the ball had not even left Rodgers' hand when Brown made the contact. It could not have been pass interference.
in which case Rodgers was out of the pocket and runner - you have ever right to knock a receiver down even after 5 yards

You're right about the penalties. I know I'm being a sore loser and whiny. I just wanted them to win so bad because of the way they came back. Dak is unbelievable with Zeke and that O-Line. Dez and Beasley. I am feeling good too, just a little salty

  • Anthony Brown was fooled by Ty Montgomery and a stutter-go, and he was thus was forced to grab him. It was a shame that he made that mistake, because Jeff Heath was in really nice position to help him on the play. What was surprising about the call in my opinion was the foul was committed before the ball left Aaron Rodgers’ hand. That call is usually made as defensive holding with the referee saying prior to the pass and a five yard walk off. In the post-game pool report, Tony Corrente said that the ball was in the air and that wasn’t the case at all. Those extra five yards kept the Packers in field goal range which they were successful making from 56 yards. The exact same situation happened earlier in the game when LaDarius Gunter grabbed Dez Bryant which resulted in a five yard penalty because the ball was not out of Dak Prescott’s hand.

If you watch the video on this link of the Witten play, it wasn't like it happened in a split second and the official had reason to miss it. Witten was held from about the 5-yard line to the goal line, where he was taken to the ground. There's just no excuse for missing that one.

I thought it was the spot of the foul.

It was. They moved it back when they determined the foul happened at the 35. It looked like it should have been more because Rodgers hadn't released the ball yet, so it looked like the spot of the foul was further downfield. Brown did the right thing when he lost the receiver in committing defensive holding ... too bad the official wasn't paying attention to know that Rodgers had not released the ball yet.

The hands to the face call was also mystifying (and incorrect).

I just watched it again on the dallascowboys.com link and it looks like his hands went up to the face there. I need to watch it on the big screen to tell for sure.

You want to see a near flawless game, that's what you saw from Green Bay. 2 penalties, fast start, everyone catching everything, getting out of 3rd and longs with penalties, timely penalties on the other team. It took a flawless game to beat Dallas, we're in for an exciting time as Cowboys fans.

Can someone explain something to me? This was the second playoff game that I've seen the old ref on the opposite sideline with the opposing coach. What are they doing there? When did this start? How is this not part of the discussion? I was at the game so I didn't notice it but it's clear on the telecast.

They weren't flawless, though. It was just called that way, but I absolutely get your point.

Fans ALWAYS complain about bad calls when their favorite teams lose. And there are almost always missed calls in games.

My take is unless they are egregious, they should never decide the final minutes of a game.

No complaints about bad calls in either of the losses to the Giants.

And there really isn't any chance of a hold being more egregious than the one perpetrated against Irving on that last play.

I feel you there.

Coaches should have two green flags and call those officiating challenges. Two officiating challenges for missed calls or incorrect calls like PI, holding ect

This is the true solution; I agree wholeheartedly. It might hurt the Cowboys in some instances, but I'd rather them get it right than have this lingering thought of "what if they didn't miss that call".

True all penalties can impact a game, those called and not called....buts its 31-31.....with 30 secs left...last couple plays were great plays by GB....woulda coulda shoulda game you can play all day....but bottom line is Defense allowed a big play with 10 secs left...
Partially because we were held. That would have ended GB's drive. The play was invalid.
