Sounds like an excuse and defending Bron to me.

I honestly have no idea how you could like/love that clown.

Well you are aware that Chris Bosh hasn't been playing this series right? He only played 14 minutes tonight. I'd take Scottie Pippen over Wade every day of the week. Wade has been downright awful at times this series and you obviously don't know how important coaching is....

And when I think about it I'd take Horace Grant and Rodman over Chris Bosh. He is a 6'10" jump shooter who isn't a good shooter and an average defender.

We won't even waste our time comparing the teams "other guys". Paxson/Kerr or Chalmers.... Hmmmmm!

I'm sorry, but if you would take Scottie Pippen over Dwayne Wade than you lose all credibility. Dwayne Wade is one of the five best players in the game and arguably the 3rd greatest 2 guard ever after MJ and KB24. Bosh is a terrific shooter for a big and a perennial All Star. Rodman was better, but Grant was a role player.

The problem is that you've got two guys, Wade and James, scoring 66% of the points for the team. EVERYONE ELSE that sees floor time only is scoring the other 33%, and none of it is big points.

The entire rest of the roster is unreliable. They tied up entirely too much salary in two guys who are too similar.

The Holy Trinity of basketball is having a Point Guard and F/C combination capable of executing the pick and roll with a swingman capable of scoring inside and out. That's why the Spurs have been so successful for so long, and why (although not a primarily pick and roll offense) the triangle offense is so successful.

Basketball is won by playing good defense, rebounding, and playing inside out. The Heat can't do that right now, and they can't really do it ever because of the way the roster is composed.

They have no collective effort. They have two guys that are superstars and a bunch of C players. Unless both Wade and James are unconscious for 48 minutes, the Heat have to rely on too many external factors outside of their control in order to get a win. You can't win down the stretch in any sport relying on the other team to mess up.

Not sure if serious.

People always have excuses lined up for Bron Bron.

I'm not making excuses for Lebron. That team sucks and it's poorly coach. There is no denying that. Lebron is not Jordan because he has no heart.

I seriously don't think Jordan would be able to overcome Coach Spoelstra and an injured Bosh. 6' 8".

These 5 players wouldn't win an NBA championship...

D. Wade
M. Chalmers
U. Haslem
M. Jordan
S. Battier

Not even Jordan could win with this group of guys and Erik Spoelstra.

Maybe Wizards Jordan. Bulls Jordan was so much better than anyone in the league right now. He would've went down the stretch in this game and shot something like 8/10 for 16 points in the last 5 minutes.

You should just be quiet right now. Seriously. Stop posting.

A statement like this makes it clear that you have only ever a) watched the Lakers, and b) started watching basketball after 1998.

LOL you must be young!

Scottie Pippen was named one of the top 50 players of all-time and Barkley said he was the best defensive player of his era. Wade is good, but Pippen was a better all-around player.

Says the guy who thought Boston would get swept. No I think I'll keep posting because I have that right to express my opinion. I never said Wade was clearly the 3rd best 2 guard, but I said you could make the argument he is. I'm not the only one either a lot of the "experts" do such as JVG do as well.

Not even close. Even Chuck would laugh at your statement. My age has nothing to do with this. Just look at the numbers Wade was much better than Pippen.

Problem #1.

Oh and show me where I said Boston would get swept. I'll save you the trouble, since I've already checked my own posts - I didn't.

Great post and I agree.

Miami's role players can't even perform their roles. Wade and Lebron have to do everything. They have to be the defenders, the shot blockers, the scorers, the distributors, and the play makers. They get no help. The fact that they are even in this series speaks to the greatness of Lebron and Wade and mainly Lebron.

You never even touched on the coaches performance.

Only locks ahead of Wade are Jordan and Bryant IMO.

You could argue West,Drexler,Miller?

It's why I refuse to jump on the LeBron hate train. I do see some things that I feel need improvement, but it's funny that he had no issue with any of that when he was in Cleveland (when he had the team on his back year in and year out) -- these guys, just like anyone else, need to know who shoulders the load. Wade and James are like two magnets, trying to push the positive ends together.

What performance? ;)

West, Drexler, Miller, Wilkins, Pippen, Gervin, etc.

Wade falls down too much for my liking. And he's never been a terribly consistent shooter. Always a slasher.

If I hear one more 16 yr old claim lebron james is comparable to jordan or even kobe, i'm going to backhand him so hard he'll never speak such stupidity again.

I can't stand hearing that stuff either man. What people who try to make a case for Lebron over MJ don't understand is that nobody could match MJ's mental toughness, and will to win. That is what seperates the legends when the talent margin is so slim. So untill I see Lebron have that inner will even remotely close to MJ there will never be a debate. Kobe has the will to. Right now out of the young superstars, I think KD is showing the best signs of having that inner will.

He misses clutch free-throws and he is a turn-over machine.

Bleachers Report list for top 10 Small Forwards in NBA History

1 Bird
2 Havlicek
3 Dr. J
4 Elgin Baylor
5 Pippen
6 Worthy
7 Wilkins
8 Rick Barry
9 LeBron
10 Alex English

This was 3 years ago so I'm sure Lebron would be moved up a bit and eventually Durant will make the list.

In a structured offense he would but in this stand and watch offense that the Heat run I'm not sure.

I would have to agree though that Jordan would have won this game but I'm not ready to acknowledge that he would win a championship with that team and that coach.

Does anybody really think if Lebron is only #9, that Pippen is #5?

Fair enough. And you're right - they look like a bunch of guys that don't know eachother playing pick up ball during open gym.
