I wouldn't want to see the Spurs right now if I was anyone else in the West right now. They look awesome.

Give me Parker everyday of the week and twice on Sunday.
juck;4546766 said:Nah last year yes not this year. Last year had the whole Lebron thing with Cleveland and the rematch of the fixed 2006 finals. And also Dirk finally getting the ring. This year has none of that. If the Spurs win NBA loses. Remember thast most casual nba fans which make up a majority are black and completely worship Lebron and Wade. Casual fans jump bandwagons. Especially young kids. They pick the "popular" teams. For instance,I go into Champs right after the finals last year and They have a million Heat jerseys and not one Mav or Spur,etc... Heat makes money. OKC makes money. Lakers make money. Lebron is LOVED by the majority of casual NBA fans. NBA is about money. Stern made them squeeze all them games this year for a reason.

First off just because outplay someone in an individual matchup does NOT make you a better player. For example often times in their careers Deron Williams has outplayed CP3, but he's obviously not a better player. Parker also has a MUCH better team around him. He's got Duncan and Manu who while they're past their primes are still All Star caliber players along with a slew of very good players like Leonard, Green, Jackson, Spitter, Neal, Bonner, etc. it's a shame CP3 doesn't have a championship caliber supporting cast around him, but if Stern hadn't blocked the trade he would have.
No but the refs"Stern" controls Free throw. Which equivilate free points.Refs control a team from going into the bonus. Refs completely control the game.Same with football. Yet i still watch like an 11 year old lol.casmith07;4547031 said:You're one of "those" fans?
The refs don't award less than 3 points if a shot is made beyond the arc and they don't make people's shooting percentage stink up the gym.

Follow the money pal.Spurs do have titles and they lost money when Spurs won it. I believe the ratings for the Spurs vs Cavs series was the lowest ever.Chocolate Lab;4547400 said:
Yet the Spurs have several titles. Why would Stern allow that?
Your fellow Mavs fans should beg you to cease and desist. You make them all look bad with the constant excuse-making and conspiracy theories.
Muhast;4547600 said:Blake Griffin, DeAndre Jordan, Kenyon Martin is a better line up than what Parker has been working with. The Spurs are just a better team and take much better shots.

Imagine the money and casual fans coming out if OKC plays Heat or Lakers play Heat. Last year there was cause of the Lebron drama. And the history between the two teams. However if its like Spurs vs Philly. Ratings will suffer big time.If it was Mavs vs Orlando or Philly,etc... it would suffer too. U know what Im saying.NBA is such a star driven league. Its crazy cause back in the day there were stars but the money wasnt like it is. Jordan really propelled the star driven theory. Star calls,etc....MC KAos;4547749 said:that had a lot more to do with who they were playing than anything else. the lakers/nets series was the lowest rated series ever at the time, the current lowest ever is the spurs/nets, not spurs/cavs. but series like the spurs/mavs, spurs/lakers and spurs/suns back in the day were some of the highest rated series in the NBA. no one wants to watch one team just pummel another, much less is its a defensive team like the spurs or pistons of the mid 2000's.
