2012 NBA Playoffs Thread

"I can't explain it. I couldn't explain it the other night," Jazz forward Paul Millsap said. "They came out and just whipped us."

CP3 with a 4 point play!! DAAAAANNNGG!!! I'd be scared of him but tony Parker plays his best vs CP3

Tony Parker is playing unbelievable basketball right now, the Spurs are sharing the ball, cutting to the lane, Timmy looks SPRY!

I wouldn't want to see the Spurs right now if I was anyone else in the West right now. They look awesome.

No I obviously am not a fan of anyone but the Mavs. However Money talks. Mark my words.U will have to beat the refs this year.

You're one of "those" fans?

The refs don't award less than 3 points if a shot is made beyond the arc and they don't make people's shooting percentage stink up the gym.

You gotta beat the best to be the best so I say bring it on!

As good as they look right now we've seen teams in recent years like the Orlando Magic and LeBron's Cavs look dominant early on in the postseason then when they met a formidable foe they crumbled and got dominated.

Spurs certainly are deeper than us (Hell they're deeper then everyone) and have a far superior coach, but we also have some advantages like our bigs and having Kobe Bryant who much like Duncan looks better than he has in years. I think we could beat them, but our starters have to outplay theirs for that to happen. Spitter would be huge if those two teams met.

Parker outplays Paul whenever they play. The Spurs usually win the game as well.

Give me Parker everyday of the week and twice on Sunday.

wow, tony just had the nicest finger roll san antonio has seen since the ice man retired!

Three Jazz defenders guarding him and he still put the lotion in the basket. Incredible play.

First off just because outplay someone in an individual matchup does NOT make you a better player. For example often times in their careers Deron Williams has outplayed CP3, but he's obviously not a better player. Parker also has a MUCH better team around him. He's got Duncan and Manu who while they're past their primes are still All Star caliber players along with a slew of very good players like Leonard, Green, Jackson, Spitter, Neal, Bonner, etc. it's a shame CP3 doesn't have a championship caliber supporting cast around him, but if Stern hadn't blocked the trade he would have.

Nah last year yes not this year. Last year had the whole Lebron thing with Cleveland and the rematch of the fixed 2006 finals. And also Dirk finally getting the ring. This year has none of that. If the Spurs win NBA loses. Remember thast most casual nba fans which make up a majority are black and completely worship Lebron and Wade. Casual fans jump bandwagons. Especially young kids. They pick the "popular" teams. For instance,I go into Champs right after the finals last year and They have a million Heat jerseys and not one Mav or Spur,etc... Heat makes money. OKC makes money. Lakers make money. Lebron is LOVED by the majority of casual NBA fans. NBA is about money. Stern made them squeeze all them games this year for a reason.

Yet the Spurs have several titles. Why would Stern allow that?

Your fellow Mavs fans should beg you to cease and desist. You make them all look bad with the constant excuse-making and conspiracy theories.

Blake Griffin, DeAndre Jordan, Kenyon Martin is a better line up than what Parker has been working with. The Spurs are just a better team and take much better shots.

No but the refs"Stern" controls Free throw. Which equivilate free points.Refs control a team from going into the bonus. Refs completely control the game.Same with football. Yet i still watch like an 11 year old lol.

Follow the money pal.Spurs do have titles and they lost money when Spurs won it. I believe the ratings for the Spurs vs Cavs series was the lowest ever.

Not sure if srs.

Blake is a one trick pony, Jordan is awful on both ends, and Martin is done.

Parker is better then CP3 and CP3 is one of the whiniest, dirtiest players ever. But his popularity will get him far in the nba.He gets calls constantly..

that had a lot more to do with who they were playing than anything else. the lakers/nets series was the lowest rated series ever at the time, the current lowest ever is the spurs/nets, not spurs/cavs. but series like the spurs/mavs, spurs/lakers and spurs/suns back in the day were some of the highest rated series in the NBA. no one wants to watch one team just pummel another, much less is its a defensive team like the spurs or pistons of the mid 2000's.

Imagine the money and casual fans coming out if OKC plays Heat or Lakers play Heat. Last year there was cause of the Lebron drama. And the history between the two teams. However if its like Spurs vs Philly. Ratings will suffer big time.If it was Mavs vs Orlando or Philly,etc... it would suffer too. U know what Im saying.NBA is such a star driven league. Its crazy cause back in the day there were stars but the money wasnt like it is. Jordan really propelled the star driven theory. Star calls,etc....

Dallas 1 over OKC
Miami 5.5 over NYK

I never bet any Dallas game, and even if I wasnt a fan I wouldnt. Too close these games are. Im boggled whether to take NYK tonight just cause they are due. However Im taking Heat again. Heat are making me lots of cha ching.
