He's not in the discussion. He's 2nd tier.

i agree, too many limitations to be considered the best or in the conversation. he misses a lot of layups and turns the ball over a lot too. bill simmons calls it the rondo triple double when he has lots of assists, points and turnovers! lol

Name your first and second.

for me its CP3 then TP, with DWill and D Rose also in the first tier

Nash, westbrook, and rondo are in the second tier, in that order.

Ibake goaltends a lot McKaos, but he rarely gets called for it, maybe cause he is super quick with his hops.

The Spurs need to stop being so careless with the ball. They are just handing it over like it is a Christmas present......it is disgusting to see them have such poor ball security. And stop forcing passes into closed windows.

Chris Paul, Tony Parker, Derrick Rose are far and away elite right now, with Steve Nash in there too.

Second tier PGs are Rondo, Deron Williams, Russell Westbrook.

If I'm ranking them right now, I'm going like this:

1. Chris Paul
2. Derrick Rose
3. Tony Parker
4. Steve Nash
5. Deron Williams
6. Russell Westbrook
7. Rajon Rondo

ya, i think pop had the same feeling i did, just let them get this W and he is gonna coach the hell out of them tomorrow and in game 4. If this was a close game pop would have destroyed the officials, gotten a T and started getting calls, classic pop. But i think he just felt this was a throw away game after the first half.

As a PG give me Rondo over Westbrook. I'd take him over Nash due to age and upside.

i think it depends on your team. ironically, i think Westbrook would be a much better fit with the celtics, and vice versa for rondo.

DWill is tier one IMO.

I think an argument could be made. I'm just not sure I place him quite up there. He's not in the same class as the top 3 on my list defensively, IMO.

There was a stretch where Steve Nash couldn't guard anyone, but he's somehow gotten better as he's gotten older.

Absolutely, because Rondo would feed the ball to Durant on a regular basis, and the Celtics need a scorer who can do something other than shoot the ball in Westbrook.

Back on topic: Pop might want to play Blair some more next game.

Blair plays well vs Thunder.

i think D Will is in tier one also, but like casmith said, its arguable because of the nets struggles and his ego in the jerry sloan debacle.

as for nash, id take him as of right now, the 2011-2012 season. i think of it this way. if my life depended on a team winning 1 game, id take nash over westbrook and rondo right now. i doubt that will be the case next season though

yup, thats why the bad refing and this game being over so soon might have been a small blessing. bonner has been HORRIBLE this series. the way the thunder defend, with hussle, you need a guy that can do a pump fake at the 3 point line, dribble in and hit a mid range jumper, bonner just isnt that guy so hopefully blair gets his minutes in game 4

Hate that the game got so out of hand... Next one will be very tough.

On another note, I don't see why Brooks didn't put Sefolosha on Parker earlier. He's clearly their best player and TS is the Thunder's best defender.

Real answer I think is that Brooks just isn't that great a coach.

Yeah, for a while there when they were talking about blowing the team up (Celtics) and trading Rondo, I was hoping it would be to OKC. I'm not a huge Westbrook fan, although he has improved his jumpshot this year which is good. Not gonna happen, though...Westbrook just signed a 5-year contract extension this year.

:laugh2: coaches are stubborn sometimes, pop is like that with young players, but at least with strategy and rotations, he is very flexible.
