If we didn't have 2/3rd of our D on IR we probably win 10-12 games last year with a much tougher schedule. Injuries are bound to happen again this year so it's hard to predict that really. Hopefully we can get better on the line play on both sides and get better play out of our running backs and we should be set for a solid season. I had us for 8 or 9 wins last year and that's what we got.

While I agree about some of the injuries, but come on. Even if healthy there is no way that we were a 12 win team last year. We are and have been a mediorce team. We are 8-8 for a reason. Every year it's the same thing. If we won this game or won this game, if this or that happened. I believe we are exactly what we are and have been for over 15 years, a mediorce football team

very winnable schedule but again...could be tough last 4 games to end season.

I love how we always say oh very winnable games. You know what other teams must say when they see us on their schedule. A "very winnable game"

This is the best schedule we've received in years. Can't predict anything with this team anymore but on paper it looks good.

Agreed. Looks like a decent schedule, but never know this this team.

Last year, there were people predicting 13 wins, wonder if they'll predict an undefeated season this year. :laugh2:

Don't remember a better schedule. We might even have enough defense to survive Romoitis at the end.:D

The schedule being favorable for Dallas little to do with opponents and more about how it's set up. 4 of 1st 6 at home and getting last game at home.

They do have a stretch with 5 of 7 on road, but it's broken up with a bye week and an 11-day break after Turkey Day

Of course this is probably a good time to note the Cowboys are 11-13 at home the last 3 seasons. Only two NFC teams have worse records

And without him it could be much worse. Give the man an oline and at least the threat of scoring a rushing td in the red zone.

I guess the NFL is not out to get the Cowboys. Open at home and close at home.

About time. They opened on the road 6 out of the last 7 years I believe.

Maybe this is a "make up call" after screwing us on the cap penalty

Or it could be the league giving Jerry a favor for not taking legal action like the Skins did

What do y'all think?
OP's mistake. one of those is @ Wash.

Dec 22 is at Wash.
11-5?
10-6?
8-8?

I say 10-6 is very doable.
But then again so is 16-0.

It has never been an issue with me honestly. I guess I see it as 8 at home and 8 on the road. I'm more concerned with how we play not where we play.

Unless they make huge improvements to the OL, 8-8 is tops this year.

Every year is different but we play some tough teams.

Washington with a healthy RG111 is tough
Giants are always tough
GB, Denver are very good
Rams will be improved
Chicago even with a new coach is tough
Detroit can put up some points
Saints beat us last year and now they have Payton back as HC

Hope next week is the start of fixing the OL.

Was looking forward to going to the game here in Chicago...Monday night is cool...December 9th is just cold!I'll brave it.

I went to the game last year in cincinatti on december 9th and thought I was going to be in for a terrible time with the weather but it was a nice 45 all day. SO who knows, maybe you'll get lucky and only need a light jacket

I always predict 10-6.

I figure the team is almost guaranteed to split the division so that's three Ws and Ls there...and then I figure they'll lose at least 3 games outside of that. The Ws will be sporadic throughout the year and Romo will get on his November run.

Record-wise, the most improved team in the league will be the Chiefs.

St Louis is no longer dog-meat either.

Just saying this because I was shouting on the rooftops last year before Dallas played Seattle to beware. Some here got it, but so many said "no excuses, Seattle sux, and that game is a gimme".
Same with the Commanders. Everyone counted those games as wins.
I say it every year, careful with counting specific games as wins (or losses).

I know, what a party-pooper.

In the end though, I am more optomistic about this year than either of the last two.

Never take any game for granted. You beat bad teams the same way you beat the good ones, by playing good football.
