You may well be right about the guy, but unless he is actually the second coming of Witten or Tony G then I don't think it's unreasonable to give a collective, 'HUH?' to us drafting yet another 2nd round TE.

Escobar is a very good pass catcher and I am sure that I will justify this later...but we didn't need another TE???? I could see if we were flush with talent on the lines and safety, but this is ridiculous?

Plenty of picks left still, but a lot of it depends on Frederick regardless. If he winds up as a great guard or center that alone drags it up a full letter grade.

Jay Novacek of his era or Jay Novacek statistically? Anytime you draft a guy who gets to 5 PBs/All-Pros you're pretty happy, but if he only turns out to be a decent to good starter I think you always have to question the pick given how many high draft picks we've spent on TEs over the last half decade.

With all our needs, we pick up a back up player. I love it.

Some people forget what it was like for the boys in between Jay and Jason and if anything it is much more a TE league then it has ever been.

Jay Novacek was a stud.. More impact on winning for the Cowboys than realized.
