No, because you only need to outscore the opponent.
Winning 10-0 is worth the same as winning 1-0.
The US is shutting offenses down and the back line and GK has been superb.

Japan, a lot like the US, plays it's style to win games not win style points.
Gonna be a fun rest of the tourney IMHO.

The US are fortunate it is versus China and not a stronger foe.
China is arguably the weakest remaining team.

Germany and France have looked really good all in all.

They pressured China, looked pretty good... but one goal.... Hopefully they're starting to put the pieces together..

Canada's coach should be fired for starting Sesselmann, she is one of the worse defensive players I have seen in this tournament.

If a casual fan of the sport like me can notice how bad she has been in the 3 Canada games Ive seen, it is hard to believe her coach couldnt see it.

I struggle to raise even a passing interest in it to be honest, haven't seen any of the World Cup at all. Good to see it getting more media attention over here than it usually does though.

it is during a really low point of us sports seasons.
i cant say i'd have watched it most any other time but right now we have baseball and that's really it.

i've seen 8-10 minutes worth of wnba and about 5 of these wwc matches.

no copa america for the us obviously so there really isn't much else going on.

we choked, pure and simple, huge crowd, downtown was full of Canadian stuff (I was downtown for other stuff on Saturday) and they come out and give up two goals in fourteen minutes.

The games are exciting unless you're Canadian with no team to root for.

Weak given we just got knocked out on Saturday and the games have not been exciting through the QF

less than an hour until the luscious Alex Morgan and the psycho ex type Hope Solo take the field. That is almost reason enough to watch women's soccer.
