Maybe its more of an indication they arent really all that good then . . . .
That's the thing... You move the bar and "good" pitcher will become average.
On the other hand you're going to see some .240 hitters suddenly become .280 hitters.
Think someone like Willie Randolph, who was a career .276 hitter and would average 80 walks and about 45K's a season. Today he'd be one of those .240 guys with about 50 walks and 70K's a season.
