2017-18 NBA Season

Call me crazy if you wish, but.......

Does anyone else see a little bit of Kobe in De'aaron Fox from Sacramento? I watched Bryant's first season and I see a lot of the same in Fox. Kind out of control but beyond athletic, not afraid to let it fly and just that natural ability.

Kobe was an erratic player his rookie season but you could see some greatness. Fox looks like it could be the same.....

And Kobe was compared to Jordan his rookie season (by teammate Byron Scott and others). So Fox = compared to Jordan.

Bulls lost. Big surprise.

Markkanen had a nice debut. Such a sweet stroke. He definitely needs to get stronger. But 17/8 with terrible guard play is a nice start. Doncic would look so, so nice running the offense with Lauri.

Valentine can shoot, but that's about it.

With injuries to Lavine, Mirotic, Dunn, and the suspension of Portis.... A talent lacking team is even more depleted.

Lavine getting healthy, Dunn developing, and Markkanen developing is what the season is about.

Doncic is the prize.

I like Lavine alot. If he can come back 100% he is a very rounded 2

It's really a shame that soooo many fans of soooo many teams are looking forward to the draft already...

With that being said, I'm going to enjoy Porzingis taking the next step forward and becoming a perennial all star and hopefully some decent development from Ntilikina, while the Knicks win hopefully no more than 20 games and get the #1 pick.

Ingram needs to get more aggressive offensively, he's seems to hesitate when he catches the ball, needs to catch the ball and shoot instantly sometimes. I found myself yelling at the TV a few times last night, shoot shoot!

Kobe was a bigger player obviously but they were certainly both really young, explosive guys.

Kobe wasn't born tho, he was made. He outworked everyone Guys like Dirk and Kobe were gym rats that never stopped developing skills and offensive weapons.
Stories of both in gyms long after teammates have left is legendary.
In fact one of the reasons Dallas soured on Chandler Parsons is Dirk was outworking him even tho he was like 15 years older....

Fox was my favorite guard in this class. IMHO he has the most 2 way star potential. But he will need to work.
Athletes often have a harder time developing skill because they are so so quick that they need to be even more skilled to match that athleticism.

I’m not a believer in Lonzo Ball.

His body type just doesn’t lend itself to the rigors of an NBA season or matching up with elite PGs and his shooting form is problematic.

I think at best he can be a better version of Rickey Rubio. That said, I don’t see the floor general and leadership that Jason Kidd had coming into the NBA.

I actually like Fox but I'm not ready to say he is the next coming of Kobe. Of course, when Kobe came into the league, I wasn't ready to say he was the second coming of Michael so yeah, who knows right?

A 19 year old with 21, 7, and 7 end of the 3rd quarter.

Got my first opportunity to watch the C's live this season, and man or man are there gonna be some struggles when Kyrie's shot isnt hitting or he is out of the game.

Its going to be tough relying on Tatum and Brown for as much offense as they likely will be. Both have tons of potential, but you can see how much of a struggle it can be putting that load on there shoulders.

Rozier looked great. Was very aggressive attacking the basket. They played Kyrie off the ball a good amount last night with the ball in Terry's and he had good command of the offense. He did play a little wild at times.

Aron Baynes is quickly becoming a fan favorite. He was just what we needed inside without paying a steep price for a premier player. He had a great defensive game against Embiid as well, although he did rack up 5 fouls

its the knicks, but brown and tatum are doing whatever they want tonight on offense and making plays on d.

Im honestly shocked at Browns offensive production this year. I thought he was gonna have a good, but I didn't the possibility where he could be an 18-19 ppg player in 2017/18

Still can't shoot consistently. At least he can get to the basket better than he showed last year.
Ingram needs to develop a proper quick catch & shoot mentality & ability. With his body length it would be a shame not to. I see hesitation from Ingram to shoot on quick outlet passes or even in the half court offense. When i watch Ingram play i feel like he wants to go through all the offensive possibilities before he makes a decision to react while the ball is in his hands, where as i want to see him just shoot right off the pass sometimes, even if he only has a foot or so space between him and the defender. If he could learn to do this effectively a few times a game it would make him a elite player in the NBA i believe. I believe Ingram's biggest problem is in his own head. Does he want to be great, if so he needs to start shooting quicker and more aggressively. Ingram needs to take the bull by the horns. Kobe had no shame as a player, Ingram needs to learn a little bit of that. I'll be hoping to see some signs of it in tonight's game.
