As a fellow long-armed guy, this isn't really fair. We, by definition, do more work than the short-armed guys.

Wouldn't the work be equal = 0 because the location of the bar at the beginning and at the end is the same, thus, displacement = 0?

Plenty of DL with 33/34 arms got 20+ reps and even some over 30 (Garrett and Thomas)...so not an excuse in my book.

DT Jaleel Johnson 6030 316 - 19 reps
DE DeMarcus Walker 6035 280 - 18 reps
DE Tarell Basham 6040 269 - 15 reps

I wouldn't want any of these weak guys playing on our DL...would you?

Jaleel is a beast at DT.

Basham is also a strong guy on the field, showed at the Senior Bowl.

All this is telling me is that these guys have even more potential

I'm fine with his forty. The rest of his metrics show explosiveness I thought; gotta double check.

The rest were pretty good, just slow on that 40.

The 40 is not everything to me regardless, I like the player.

For DE If I remember correctly the most important things are weight, forty, three cone, and to a lesser extent broad jump. Bench showed little relative importance for predicting NFL success but for DT it was.

FS and WR are the hardest to predict.

At his size and with his length he does not need to be a burner but MMQB and others were talking about how he was going to blow up the combine in testing, he did well in other tests but his 40 was slow comparatively speaking.

This does not change how I feel about the player, just noting the slow 40 time nothing more.

I can like the player and his skill set while still being somewhat disappointed in his 40 time, it is acceptable.

We need speed on offense too. We have none at WR or TE.
