As great as having Crosby/Malkin is, if Letang plays like he did last postseason, you guys are in for a long season, Biggems. No more Cole, and Schultz isn't anything close to a 1D.

You're D seems thin. The Jack Johnson signing is nice, but still. Your goalie has question marks, now.

I agree, our D is scary an not in a goodway. Murray struggled with injuries and personal stuff last year. Hopefully he will be his old self this year.

Cuts are underway. Not too surprised Tippett got cut, just a shame so soon. Hoped to see more out of him in the preseason.

I can't understand why the Panthers aren't better. I still think they need a true #1 D, and Trochek probably gets too many minutes, but there's just too much talent on this team not to win more games. It's like they can only score OR play defense.

Still early I guess, and they're not buried, but they don't look much improved from last year.

They've been in all their games, but it's just a lack of playing sound hockey at times that bites them. Also, Reimer is too inconsistent to be given the starting role. He'll have a bad stretch and then have a great stretch.
They have talent up front, but they were relying on a young/not good enough blueline to make the next step, which they haven't yet and may never will.
Ekblad at best seems could be a #2, but probably is a #3. Matheson should be a solid 2nd pairing guy but he is inconsistent. Yandle is solid, but is asked to do too much on both sides. Pysyk and Petrovic are trash.

Luongo is too old now to bail them out for their sloppy defensive game(forwards and defenders).

Yea, I agree with all that. But if you go down NHL rosters, almost all have similar issues. This top-6 is about as good as any that doesn't have Crosby/Malkin or Matthews/Tavares, and that should be able to hid a lot of the other deficiencies.

I agree. No excuses. But it's the Panthers, they find ways to lose even when the roster doesn't suck.

Supposedly Hoffman will be on the 4th line tonight, to "balance" out the scoring.
Guess he's in the doghouse.

Talk about a let down so far for our teams in the NFL/NHL man.

Don't have anything to be ecstatic for.
Cowboys are bipolar, Dolphins suck, Panthers are mediocre, and I can't even enjoy CFB.
