It was meaningless to the highly ranked teams who just missed the playoff. Big win for Texas though. We see this happen all the time in these meaningless bowls. Thats how Florida A&M beats iowa State. You think that game meant anything to Iowa St?
Georgia wasn't that good last year and got beat. They had as much to gain as Bama did when they beat GA in the SEC CG.
Utah wasn't that good this year and got beat. I wish they would have been. I'm sick to death of seeing the same 6 teams go to the top 4
UT is a woefully inconsistent, overrated team that has had injury concerns but also has a lot of talent on the field in those bowl games.
You can't crow about recruiting rankings than ignore all of UT's highly recruited classes. 3rd in 2018, 3rd in 2019. 9th for 2020 thus far.
The Big12 was trash all year. I didn't want OU in the CFB but they were easily the 4th best choice becaaue everyone else was so bad.
A lot of bad football was played this year across the board.
Maybe's the transfers or too many teams breaking in QBs but this was about as bad collectively as I have seen in an NCAAF season.
The only conference that impressed me was the Big 10.
The SEC still often plays a middle school late in the year and only 8 conference games. Gross.
Hopefully they standardize scheduling at some point in the near future and expand the playoffs to 8 teams.
Harder to cry those games won't matter.
