After the first two, it turned into a SNL skit. There is no way that I would seriously consider anyone after the top two.
Granted, the Cowboys organization loves Dak for some reason, so this discussion might be all-for-naught. But contrary to what the "we can't get anyone better than Dak right now" crowd says, there might be a few options, if the Cowboys wanted to explore them.
Here's a list of potential free agent QBs this offseason:
> Teddy Bridgewater -- catastrophic injury is completely behind him now, and he's only 26. Showed flashes in the 2018 preseason. There will probably be a big market for him.
> Nick Foles -- Slated to make $20 million next year, so the Eagles will have to let him go.
> Joe Flacco -- Looks pretty evident that the Ravens are ready to hand the reigns to Jackson. Doubt they'll keep Flacco as their backup
> Jameis Winston -- Pretty much a headcase, but he's 25 and would come relatively cheap.
> Derek Carr -- was playing at an MVP level 2 years ago before getting hurt. Gruden is cleaning house, so may Carr may be purged also.
> Ryan Tannehill -- He'll probably be retained by the Dolphins since they Osweiler is their only other legit QB with experience. But Tannehill has proven he can't lead the Dolphins anywhere, so they may cut bait.
> Josh McCown -- old but reliable. Would he be a good stop gap?
> Brock Osweiler -- has played better with the Dolphins than he did with the Texans or Browns. And he's still only 28.
> Tyrod Taylor -- he's a good leader and has had moderate levels of success. And he's only 29.
> Ryan Fitzpatrick -- Fitzmagic in Big D for a year or two?
Who would you be intrigued by? I'd take 4-5 of these guys over Dak right now.

Carr is the only one I'd even consider. All the rest are like Winston, a head case, or too old, or have had their chance and didn't show much. Like Bridgewater, Dak has "shown flashes". Getting him would be like the Vikes getting Cousins, they traded away pretty much the same type of quarterback they got, and neither ha s lit up the league.
If Dak can't get better soon, I'd have to go with a qb in the draft...
It's the "Grass is greener" syndrome.
Prescott has issues, but I think the biggest issue is the direction of the offense.
The Cowboys had almost 300 yards of total offense and 19 first downs... Those aren't "Shut-out" numbers. They've had issues in the red-zone all season. If you're telling me that Teddy Bridgewater or Joe Flacco is going to solve the red-zone problems, I'll say you're full of crap.
Fix the direction of the offense first. Then let's talk QB's.
No thanks. Carr is the same level as dak. I wa t foles it Flacco. Flacco has the most talent.Carr would be the only one worth any interest. Would have to run it by Amari though and see if there's any issues there

Daks inability to read defenses at the line and during plays is worse than his accuracy,Depends on where you view the redzone problem. IMO 70% of the redzone problems are on Dak and his inability to make contested throws in shorter windows, he can't throw a fade to save his life either. 20% are execution by the offense, and 10% are bad play calls. I can't stand the Jumbo set, terrible philosophy.
You mean Gruden's record, right?
If you're ranking QBs by record, Dak is just behind Brady.

Bridgewater
Foles
Draft
There is life after this bum. You dropped the ball two years ago and we're now stuck with crap at QB. Any decent veteran QB can give you mediocre play, which is what we get now, until you find your future and I think Bridgewater at least has a shot to be that future.
Sure, it's a waste of time because the Cowboys are so poorly managed but this absolutely is what should happen. Flush this bum off of the roster. Disinfect and move on. Let him accept challenges and point to the sky and work hard and all that meaningless nonsense somewhere else. You need talent at the most important position on the field.
Someone pull the stats on yards per run inside the red zone. It’s equally on the o line. How many rushing tds does zeke have this year? Zeke must suck all of a sudden?
Romo was benched for a while who can barely throw. He wasn’t allowed to compete. Why? Because he would’ve won by a lot. Dak is trust younger just like Jackson is younger.Flacco got benched for a QB that can barely throw, yet you think he'll fix our throwing woes in Dallas?
