Except we have so few players to fit either scheme that I'm not sure it matters. We need a massive infusion of players even if we stay with the 43. We're basically building from scratch. Lawrence is about the only guy I can think of who is pretty good and a 43 guy.Getting a new coordinator......and changing personnel from a 4-3 to a 3-4 is a big ask in one off season.....considering we have nothing that really fits in a 3-4.
- Wade Phillips
- Marvin Lewis

i think Edwards has the inside track.
Probably one of the greatest DC's off all time. Hasnt worn that hat in a very long time thoughI'd have to give the nod to Marvin Lewis. His defenses were fundamentally sound, and that would be a huge upgrade in Dallas.
He is a hybrid guy. He is the one that popularized it. In fact, I think Nolan took over for him when he left BaltimoreI believe that he's used both the 4-3 and 3-4 at various times, but he's predominantly a 4-3 guy.
Yes, he did. Nolan runs his scheme. He is a hybrid guy. He is the one that popularized it. In fact, I think Nolan took over for him when he left Baltimore
My understanding, Edwards under Zimmer was more of a game planner then a play caller. Make a good point, he's apart of the problem, not apart of the solution.Use to think this also but you can argue he's also part of the problem.
Detroit is about to fire their HC.

Detroit is about to fire their HC.
He used to run the Pats defense.
I choose him.
Someone who can run a hybrid scheme and can tell Jerry that the NFL has moved from the 90's and that the good teams have the ability to mix up their fronts (I think MM mighy have said something similar to him in January) Someone that can tell him that being 'pigeon holed' into a 4-3 means we will miss out on good talent going forward. We need to solidify the interior of the DEF (I think he might know that) I want a quality nose tackle and 1T
Don't believe it takes more than one further off season to run a hybrid with correct personnel
Matt Patricia is the best candidate.
No to any candidate that runs a rigid 4-3
His problem was ownership is insisting they can win with their QB.And horrible in Detroit. Had 3 years to put a defense together....failed miserably.
Nepotism any one?Just me, but I don't trust Belichick assistants. Most have a bad track record......
However his son, Steve Belichick as gotten some praise from around the league, even from Bill. He's currently the Pats co-defensive coor.
I would bet Dom Capers is @ the top of MM list.....or one of Capers' pupils.
I’d like to see your listNone of the above
