Both offenses scraped by all year with a mish mash of weapons and some QB run.

FWIW, the CFP final 4 included ZERO top 4 seeds.

Rankings were and have always been a poor excuse for simply not playing playoff games.
Anyone who has ever participated in in a playoff format in any sport understands this.
Dumbest possible way to award championships is by ranked choice.
Leave voting to the suck that is politics.

Not a longhorn fan by any means whatsoever but will be pulling for them tonight as they are loaded with Texas high school kids.

at least the NFL bye;s are earned on the field strictly by record.

I know that they had to give the big four conferences some bennies to get the deal done but ASU and Boise State getting byes was just plain BAD.

notre dame is now 7-0 v teams ranked in the ap top 25.
3 other teams have done that...all won the national title.

i think he's a better qb than others may think.
to me the issue all year has been the receivers.
faison might be their best.
he was most of the year.
last night...greathouse finally showed what i thought he would coming off a really good freshman year.
seems like we've been waiting for a irish receiver to arrive.
greathouse did...right on time.
in my opinion...their best pass game runs thru mitch evans.
i would like to see more screens to jeremiyah love.

Well, so far Texas not playing well. Still early, though. Don't see them beating Ohio State.

If Texas loses this, and Ewers and the rest of the offense remains flat… does he even get picked in the first two rounds of the draft??
At the end of the day, he’s not looked great and hasn’t been overly impressive whenever I’ve seen him this year… that said, if he’s still there come our pick in the 3rd round, you could see Jerry take him.

Particularly since he’s a local from Southlake. I hope not, too. He’s Dak 2.0 to me. He’s fine as long as everything is clicking, but doesn’t handle pressure or breakdowns well.

If he was mobile, he would be worth a mid-round pick for backup……but, he is not.
